Wasps given all-clear for Premiership Rugby Final after Covid tests

Wasps will be allowed to face Exeter Chiefs in the Premiership Rugby Final after positive coronavirus test results.

The club stopped training last week after four players and three staff members returned positive tests for coronavirus.

Further testing took place and Sunday’s results confirmed three more players and another member of staff had tested positive before further tests were undertaken on Tuesday.

A statement read:”Premiership Rugby can confirm that Wasps have been given the all-clear to take their rightful place in Saturday’s Gallagher Premiership Rugby Final against Exeter Chiefs.

“Everyone at Premiership Rugby is delighted to confirm Wasps’ place in the Final after the latest round of tests as part of our PCR COVID-19 screening programme.”
