Liverpool are continuing to put in their final pre-season preparations with the Premier League just around the corner, but player exits are likely before more signings
Liverpool’s pre-season continued on Sunday as Jurgen Klopp’s side were held to a 1-1 draw by Athletic Bilbao at Anfield.
With less than a week until the new Premier League season gets underway, the Reds are ramping up their transfer activity as they seek to shape their squad ahead of the new campaign.
With central defender Ibrahima Konate the only senior arrival in the first-team squad to date, it has been somewhat of an underwhelming window so far.
However, the focus at Anfield appears to be on player exits to ease the club’s wage bill to fund further investments.
With that in mind, Mirror Football takes you through the latest rumours on the red half of Merseyside.

Hammers open Origi talks
The Belgian striker has become an increasingly peripheral figure at Anfield, starting just two Premier League matches last campaign.
Origi scored just once for the Reds last season – in an EFL win over Lincoln City – and does not appear to have much of a future at the club.
The 26-year-old joined the club for a €12million fee from Lille seven years ago but has found a run of first-team opportunities hard to come by in recent campaigns.
There is no sign that Origi will break into the attack including Diogo Jota, Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane, meaning the Hammers may move for the striker.
The report suggests that a £15million deal may be enough to prompt Liverpool to sell the player.

Reds ‘informed’ on Brazilian
Liverpool were ‘informed’ of the situation of Brazilian forward Kaio Jorge, who joined Juventus from Brazilian club Santos this summer.
That is according to the agent of the player, who confirmed that the Reds were following the player’s future alongside Tottenham and Atletico Madrid.
The player’s agent Andrea Bagnoli told Calciomercato, in quotes carried by Sport Witness : “I know that he was followed with interest by Atletico Madrid, Liverpool and Tottenham, but all the top clubs were informed.”
The 19-year-old notched up 84 first-team appearances for Santos, scoring 17 goals – alerting a number of top European clubs.
He joined the Bianconeri in a €3million agreement.

Liverpool are reportedly willing to sell Nathaniel Phillips this summer and are prepared to accept a structured payment over his exit.
The central defender performed admirably last summer when called up in the midst of a defensive injury crisis with Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip were all ruled out through injury.
It is claimed the Reds have put a valuation of £12-15million on Philllips and would accept a deal that would guarantee a payment later rather than this summer.
The 24-year-old made 20 appearances for Jurgen Klopp’s side last season but the arrival of Ibrahima Konate from RB Leipzig and return to fitness of van Dijk, Matip and Gomez will have once more pushed him down the pecking order.
