West Ham vs Tottenham: Premier League preview

est Ham will be confident of pulling off a first home win over Tottenham in almost four years in Sunday’s London derby.

Five wins in their last seven games has the Hammers flying high, in stark contrast to Spurs’ four defeats in five.

West Ham produced a stunning fightback in the reverse fixture earlier this season in a 3-3 draw, and Spurs will want to avenge their collapse with a morale-boosting win.

West Ham vs Tottenham is scheduled for a 12pm GMT kick-off on Sunday, February 21, 2021.

The match will be held behind closed doors at London Stadium.

TV channel: The match will be televised on Sky Sports.

Live stream: Sky Sports subscribers will be able to watch the match online via the website or Sky Go.

Michail Antonio and Fabian Balbuena will be assessed ahead of the game.

West Ham’s talisman Antonio continues to struggle with his hamstrings, while the defender pulled a calf in training last week.

Tottenham are hopeful that their own talisman, Harry Kane, is fit after skipping the trip to face Wolfsberger.

Gareth Bale and Dele Alli were withdrawn after impressing in the Europa League tie, so could play a part if required. Heung-min Son also started but will start on Sunday after coming off at half-time.

Prediction: West Ham 1-1 Tottenham

West Ham are playing with a confidence not seen for quite some time in east London, and usually raise their game against Tottenham. Jose Mourinho will know how to shut down their expansive style – or, at least, think he knows – so I can see honours being shared.
