Who Tottenham can face in the Europa League draw
The draw for the Europa League group stage takes place this week as Tottenham await their fate in the newly-revamped competition.
Friday’s lunchtime Europa League draw will be semi-automated but still features Tottenham being drawn out of a hat to learn which far reaches of the continent they are destined for.
Plenty of potential opponents are still to be learned given the play-offs for both the Champions League and Europa League are still taking place.
But Spurs have at least already learned which pot they are in and when each matchday will take place.
Which pot are Tottenham in for the Europa League draw?
Spurs will be in Pot 1 with top seeding for the draw, owing to their superior UEFA coefficient ranking.
Who can Tottenham face in the Europa League draw?
Spurs will be drawn against two teams from each pot, including their own Pot 1.
They cannot face English opponents (Manchester United) and can only play a maximum of two teams from one other nation.
