olfsberger vs Tottenham – LIVE!
Spurs get a welcome reprieve from their Premier League woes with a return to Europa League action against Austrian side Wolfsberger this evening.
Four defeats in five in the top flight has seen Spurs drop to ninth and pressure mount on Jose Mourinho. Anything less than a win tonight would raise further questions.
This is Wolfsberger’s first ever knockout European tie and the Austrians will hope to continue Spurs’ record of failing to win any of their last seven first-leg games in European competition.
However, their task got tougher when their ‘home’ leg was moved from their Worthersee Stadion to the Puskas Arena in Budapest due to coronavirus travel restrictions.
Even so, Mourinho is no expected to take any risks and will field a strong line-up to take on the lowest-ranked team left in the competition.

Lucas Moura, Erik Lamela, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Tanguy Ndombele, Ben Davies and Davinson Sanchez all started both of last week’s defeats against Everton and Manchester City, and could therefore sit out against the Austrian minnows.
With Sergio Reguilon still not ready to return from a hamstring injury, Japhet Tanganga could provide cover for Davies at left-back after an encouraging display on the right side of defence against City.
Gareth Bale’s bright cameo at the Etihad Stadium should be enough to earn him a rare start, while Dele Alli is also pushing for inclusion after substitute appearances in the last two games.
Harry Kane will be needed in Sunday’s crucial League match against West Ham but he is likely to start, with Carlos Vinicius and young striker Dane Scarlett set to be among the subs.
Young defenders Dennis Cirkin, a left-back, and Marcel Laviniar, as well as midfielder Jamie Bowden, have also made the trip. Joe Rodon is ineligible, while Giovani Lo Celso remains sidelined with a hamstring injury.
