Wolves 2-1 Chelsea: Neto injury time winner stuns Blues

helsea missed out on the chance to go top of the Premier League for a second time in five days as Wolves came from behind to earn a late 2-1 victory at Molineux.

The in-form Olivier Giroud had put the visitors ahead with a sharp volley that just about crossed Rui Patricio’s goal-line but Daniel Podence equalised for Wolves midway through the second half.

The home side thought they had been handed a chance to win it from the spot late on when Pedro Neto went down under the challenge of Reece James, but VAR correctly overturned referee Stuart Attwell’s on-field decision to award a penalty, with no contact made by the Blues defender.

Just as the points looked certain to be shared, however, Pedro Neto lashed home a 95th minute winner to condemn Chelsea to a second successive defeat after Saturday’s loss to Everton.
