Wolves vs Spurs: Premier League preview

Spurs have seen their title challenge falter in recent weeks, with back-to-back defeats against Leicester and Liverpool following a 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace.

Jose Mourinho’s men were, however, boosted by a Carabao Cup quarter-final win over Stoke City in midweek,  with another Championship side, Brentford, waiting in the semi-final.

Wolves have been markedly inconsistent over the past month, having lost to Liverpool, Aston Villa and Burnley while beating both Chelsea and Arsenal.

Date, kick-off time and venue

Wolves vs Spurs is scheduled for a 7:15pm kick-off on Sunday, December 27.

The match will be held behind closed doors at Molineux because of the Government’s coronavirus restrictions.

How to watch Wolves vs Spurs

TV channel: The match will be televised on Sky Sports.

Wolves vs Spurs team news

Tottenham are set to be without Giovani Lo Celso throughout the festive period but should welcome back Japhet Tanganga.

Jose Mourinho made seven changes for the meeting with Stoke so should have a refreshed squad to choose from, though Japhet Tanganga remains a longer term absentee.

Wolves vs Spurs prediction: 1-1 draw

Wolves have lacked cutting edge since the horrific injury suffered by star forward Raul Jimenez, while Spurs have struggled to live up to the high standards they set early in the season.

It is hard to see this being a free-flowing affair and a draw may be the most likely outcome.
