Spurs head to Wycombe in the FA Cup tonight looking for a more straightforward game than the last – and first – meeting between the two teams.
Four years ago, Wycombe were leading 3-2 after 89 minutes and came close to causing a famous shock win, only for goals from Dele Alli and Heung-min Son to come to the rescue at Wembley.
Since then, Wycombe have risen from League Two to the Championship under Gareth Ainsworth, but a coronavirus outbreak means they have not played since January 9.
Jose Mourinho has taken a strong squad to Adams Park, looking to secure the next step in ending Tottenham’s 13-year trophy drought, with Gareth Bale again handed the chance to impress and work up his fitness. Dele Alli, injured, misses out again.
The winner will face Everton in the fifth round in early February.

So, Gareth Bale does start but Dele Alli misses out again through injury. Carlos Vinicius and Lucas Moura join Bale in the front three.
In total, Jose Mourinho makes 10 changes from the win at Sheffield United and five from the win over Marine in the FA Cup.
Here’s how the hosts look.
We will have confirmed teams in about 20 minutes. Here’s what Dan Kilpatrick reckons Jose Mourinho will opt for.
(4-3-3): Hart; Tanganga, Rodon, Sanchez, Davies; Winks, Sissoko, Gedson; Bale, Vinicius, Lucas
Wycombe are expected to face a strong Spurs team because “Mourinho is a winner, he wants to win trophies”, and I agree.
Tottenham will have enough about them to win comfortably at Adams Park. A 2-0 away win.

Tottenham could be without Dele Alli for tonight’s FA Cup trip to Wycombe.
Alli has been cast aside by Jose Mourinho in the Premier League this season and the FA Cup would have been another chance to impress, with the midfielder having started against eighth-tier Marine in the third round.
The England international was absent from the squad that won at Sheffield United last week but Mourinho said it was due to a tendon injury.
Giovani Lo Celso will miss tonight’s tie while right-backs Matt Doherty and Serge Aurier are both doubtful.
