- He ‘filmed himself with his bottom out while having a wee’, witnesses claim
- Incident was reported to company owners and he was sacked after investigation
An advertising boss who allegedly filmed himself in the toilet as a ‘prank’ during a Zoom call has been sacked, according to reports.
Nick Emery is claimed to have showed his behind while in a virtual meeting with colleagues at Mindshare, a global media and marketing services company where he was chief executive.
He ‘filmed himself with his bottom out while having a wee’, a witness told the Sun, though friends insisted he ‘didn’t bare anything’.

The incident was reported to the company owners and after an investigation, Mr Emery, responsible for multi-million-pound budgets and thousands of staff, was relieved of his duties.
A source added: ‘Nick clearly didn’t think this through. It was a spontaneous prank gone horribly wrong.’
It was claimed that some on the call took offence and made immediate complaints to senior staff at WPP, which owns Mindshare.
Bosses at GroupM, part of WPP, told the newspaper the London-based boss was no longer in his chief executive role after a breach of company behaviour.
His interim replacement insisted that the behaviour was offensive and inappropriate and would not be tolerated.
Mr Emery had been with the business for more than 20 years and declined to comment when approached by the Sun.
A friend of the outgoing boss, however, described his sacking as ‘a massive overreaction’.
