Body is found in search for missing woman, 25, whose car was abandoned with all her belongings

  • Jamie-Lee Wilson, 25, from Belfast, was last seen at around midday on August 10
  • Her black Volvo was located by police with her jacket, phone and bank card in it
  • A PNSI spokesperson confirmed on Tuesday they are no longer looking for her


A body has been found in the search for a missing Belfast woman. 

Jamie-Lee Wilson, 25, from the Gortnamona area of the city, was last seen leaving Turf Lodge at around midday on August 10.

She was heading in the direction of the Springfield Road.

The car that Jamie-Lee was driving, a black Volvo, was located by police in the Dundrod area with her jacket, phone and bank card inside.

Searches were being carried out across Belfast and in the Dundrod area.

A family member took to social media to say that it ‘isn’t good news’ after a member of the public shared the news of the missing person search, Belfast Telegraph reported.

A PNSI spokesperson confirmed in a statement issued on Tuesday evening that they are no longer looking for Ms Wilson. 

The spokesperson said: ‘Police are no longer searching for missing person Jamie-Lee Wilson.

‘Thank you for your help and assistance.’

Ms Wilson was described as being around 5ft 4in, with long blonde hair and blue eyes, and of a slim build.
