The son of celebrity chef Marco Pierre White today appeared in court charged with stealing a £40 Nokia mobile phone from his father’s hotel.
But the case against Marco Pierre White Jnr was dropped after it was revealed the manager of the hotel no longer wished to press charges.
White Jnr attended Salisbury Magistrates Court, Wiltshire, briefly today smoking a cigarette, wearing a red and black North Face puffer jacket and short brown hair.
Entering the courtroom the 25-year-old, known for his eccentric dress sense, told the female magistrate: ‘Love your jacket’.

He confirmed his date of birth, before prosecutor Stuart Sampson said: ‘This relates to the taking of a mobile phone from his place of work.
‘The complainant was the manager and he has since moved on and indicated in writing to me that he doesn’t wish to support the prosecution. Without him I cannot offer any evidence.’
The £250-a-night Rudloe Arms Hotel, where White Jnr lived and worked, is set in 14 acres of rural grounds looking across the sweeping Box Valley towards Bath.
His father, Marco Pierre White Snr, 59, was the first British chef to be awarded three Michelin stars and owns a string of restaurants and hotels across the country.
White Jnr was accused of pinching the phone, which belonged to the Rudloe Arms, on March 31 – the start of the first lockdown.

Lucy Taylor, defending, said: ‘He is paying privately for his representation so I would ask for a defendant cost order.’
The magistrate confirmed she would be happy to award costs and said the exact amount would be decided at a later date.
The tattooed reality star appeared on Celebrity Big Brother in 2016 and has made headlines with his drug taking and wild behaviour.
This includes a cocaine-fuelled night with a prostitute he documented on social media.
He once blew £250,000 on a drink and drugs binge in Ibiza when he was just 16 and has appeared before the courts on multiple occasions.
White Jnr became a father to baby daughter Arabella Rose last November with his partner.
