An Australian foodie known for sharing simple but tasty recipes on TikTok has revealed how to make rigatoni pasta with a homemade sundried tomato pesto sauce.
Ayeh made the dish for ‘rigatoni pasta day’, a trend that began on the platform, and demonstrated how to make the pasta in a short TikTok video.
‘The best part about today’s sauce is that it doesn’t need to be cooked! You just add all the ingredients to a blender and blitz together until you get a chunky consistency,’ she said.
The clip has since gone viral and been viewed more than 136,000 times – a common occurrence for Ayeh’s videos.

To make the pesto sauce, she added the sundried tomatoes, garlic, fresh basil, parmigiano cheese, salt, a squeeze of lemon juice, flaked almonds and olive oil into a blender to pulse for a few seconds

The pasta was cooked in a pot of boiling water then strained, reserving some of the pasta water, and combined with the freshly made pesto sauce.
The small amount of pasta water was stirred with the sauce to thin the consistency slightly.

The quick and easy recipe would be ideal for those who are time poor or are after a filling weekday meal.
Other TikTok users praised the dish in the comments on the video and seemed eager to try it.
‘This makes me SO hungry,’ one person wrote, another said: ‘Your food always look so good!!’
