I’m A Celebrity 2021: Arlene Phillips, 78, is the FIRST campmate to be eliminated

Arlene Phillips was the first celebrity to be eliminated from I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! on Sunday night.

The public vote meant that the choreographer, 78, was sent packing after 13 days in the camp, leaving her emotional campmates at Gwrych Castle behind.

When asked by Ant and Dec on her exit how she was feeling, Arlene, the oldest celebrity in the show’s history to take part, said: ‘Relieved, but emotional because of everything this has been.’

Dec reminded him prior to the round that he had to spin twice, to which Matty replied: ‘That’s good, two chances of eating a penis.’

The pair struggled during the second round, which saw them covered in castle critters as they attempted to find three jokers out of a pack of 300 playing cards. They only retrieved one.

Naughty Boy earned two stars for the third instalment at Gross Vegas, which was dubbed Snake Eyes.

The Grot Machine is what the campmates faced last, where they were drenched in fish guts, offal and gunge as they tried to catch coveted stars. They only caught one out of four stars for this round.

A poignant moment saw Snoochie open about her facial birthmark and she revealed she was worried people would think she was a ‘catfish’ after covering it up for social media photos for so long.

A catfish is when you present to be different online to what you are in real life.

The radio presenter, 29, told Naughty Boy and Frankie Bridge: ‘One of my main things coming in here, and I said it to my mum and the guy I’m seeing, ‘I think people are going to think I’m a catfish. I’m not going to look like my Insta.’

She went on: ‘Insta is your best angles, you’ve got sick lighting, you’ve got make-up on. I don’t edit my face, but obviously I’ll put like… if I’ve got spots I hide it, with my birthmark I cover it with make-up.’

Snoochie’s birthmark is underneath her right eye.

Snoochie confessed: ‘I muted [the word] catfish on my Instagram. You know where you can mute words? This is the first time I’ve shown people my birth mark and stuff.’

Frankie then spoke in the Telegraph: ‘I think Snoochie came in here thinking her birthmark was an imperfection. I don’t think she could be any further from the truth.’
