- In the viral clip an influencer and a man squabble in a UK park
An argument between an influencer and a man on a park bench has gone viral with people on social media saying it’s the most British argument ever’ but also ‘staged.’
In the short clip, a young woman can be seen addressing a camera mounted to a tripod in a park after completing a 5K run.
As she is explaining herself, a man enters the shot and sits down on a bench directly behind her – seemingly causing her to lose her flow.
She approaches the man and says: ‘Excuse me, I’m just filming here and you’re in the shot?’ to which he replies: ‘And?’
What follows is an excruciating two minutes of back and forth in which neither side budges.
The drama starts when the influencer’s video is interrupted by the bench sitter

The exchange starts off politely on both sides

However after an agreement can’t be reached it descends into name calling
At one point, referring to the young woman as ‘ageist’, the man questions why she is so concerned about her followers.
She replies: ‘My followers, I know, will not want to see you.’
To whit the man replies: ‘Your followers? Oh so are you Jesus now?’
At the end of the side splitting video, neither side leaves happy.
Finishing his soapbox, the man says: ‘Right, well I’m afraid I’m staying love.’
To which the girl replies: ‘That’s not fair.’
She is promptly admonished for being ‘part of the snowflake brigade’ by the triumphant bench sitter

Since the video went viral on social media, many people have been suspicious as to whether ‘the most British argument ever’ was actually just a staged bit.

Another likened it to Monty Python, saying: ‘The fact that this is real life and could have come straight out of of a Monty Python skit is amazing.’
Another said: ‘This can’t be real? Guy’s awesome if it’s legit.’
Another laughed it was the perfect scene, writing: ‘That is awesome, I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a polite obliteration of someone’s ego in my whole life.
‘The accent makes it even better.’
