Kate Ferdinand shares snap of her stepson’s garden Euro 2020 football viewing party as England win

There was certainly football fever in Kate Ferdinand’s home on Saturday night as she shared a snap of her stepson’s garden viewing party as they watched England romp to victory against Ukraine.

The former TOWIE star, 30, shared an image of her husband Rio’s boys Lorenz, 14, and Tate, 12, watching the Euro 2020 quarter-final clash with their pals in the back garden.

And it was certainly an ideal set-up for their boys as they lounged on garden furniture and cosy beanbags while viewing the Three Lions’ 4-0 victory on a huge screen.

The set-up also saw light-up letters spelling out ‘England’, while the boys were protected by any unexpected bad weather by a sizable awning.

Captioning the snap, Kate, who’s husband Rio served as a pundit for the match, wrote: ‘The boys – game ready’.  

Meanwhile, Ellie Goulding and Scarlett Moffatt led the stars in celebrating England after their Euro 2020 quarter final win over Ukraine, as they both donned England shirts to show support for their home teams.

The singer, 34, and the TV personality 30, both took to their respective Instagrams on Saturday afternoon to cheer on the Three Lions, who proved victorious over the opposing side.

Ellie shared a sultry selfie after England were crowned victorious wearing an football top, while Scarlett posted her boozy antics as she downed bottles of prosecco to celebrate the win.

Meanwhile, a whole host of other famous faces including Mark Wright, Olly Murs, David Beckham, Dani Dyer, Kerry Katona and Jake Hall shared their excitement as football fever swept the country.

Earlier in the evening, Mark and Olly both gave fans a look at their football-filled nights, as they posted photos and videos to their respective Instagram pages. 

Mark was in animated spirits as he and a group of mates headed to a pub to get in the mood ahead of the match.

And they certainly proved to be a lively bunch as with pints in hand, they sang a reworking of Atomic Kitten’s Whole Again, with the lyrics changed in support of Gareth Southgate and his squad. 

They then moved to a covered viewing area to watch the match, where they gave another rendition of the song before singing the national anthem.

Meanwhile, Olly showed his support with an Instagram snap of him wearing an England shirt while indulging in a takeaway from celeb hotspot Sheesh, with the X Factor star writing: ‘Come on England!’ 

Former England captain David Beckham also took to social media to cheer on the boys, posting two images bearing the England flag.

The football ace, 46, wrote on one image: Come on boys this is the big one’, while on the other he penned: ‘Here we go. @england come on the boys.’

While The Mummy Diaries star Greg Shepherd also got his kids involved, sharing a sweet snap with children Nelly and Arthur sporting England shirts. 

Former TOWIE star Jake Hall also posed with his family, with the group all wearing their shirts and brandished a giant England flag. 

Meanwhile, Kerry Katona sang her version of the reworked Atomic Kitten song as she threw her support behind the team.

The singer lay back on her sofa as she belted out a few lines from the track, the original of which she recorded in 2000 alongside former bandmates Natasha Hamilton and Liz McClarnon.

More than 30 million England supporters are cheering on the national side in their UEFA Euro 2020 quarter final against Ukraine, with travel restrictions preventing tens of thousands of fans descending on Rome.   

Fans at a Manchester fan park went berserk after the England captain scored, with pints being flung into the air and one fan dressed as Gareth Soutgate in a waistcoast went wild. 

Millions of viewers are expected tune into the BBC‘s coverage of England’s hotly anticipated quarter final, with Denmark awaiting tonight’s winners in next week’s UEFA Euro 2020 semi-final.

Both Three Lions supporters who remained in the UK and those who made the journey to Rome vowed to cheer the national side to victory in Saturday’s crunch clash.

Thousands of fans had piled into the 70,000 capacity Stadio Olimpico as England bid to make their first Euro semi final for more than a quarter of a century. 

Chants of ‘Football’s Coming Home’ have echoed around the approaches to the stadium as captain Harry Kane led his team out in warmups, as England fans outnumbered those from Ukraine 4-1 on the streets of Rome.
