The ITV2 show announced last Thursday that for the first time ever they were giving the public the chance to choose the first male or female bombshell to enter the Villa.
The public had the chance to choose between Ellie Spencer, 25, a Business Development Executive at a law firm from Norwich and Tom Clare, 23, a semi-pro footballer from Barnsley.
Since Tom entered the villa, Ellie will now be introduced at a later date.
Contestants had only just coupled up by the time Tom made his entrance – clearly shaking things up.
Tom reportedly only became single not long before entering the show.
It was revealed that the Barnsley native recently broke up with his girlfriend of three years, stunning air hostess Emily Mott.
According to The Sun, the striker was dating his blonde girlfriend for just over three years before their recent split.
An insider allegedly told the publication: ‘Everyone was really shocked to see Tom pop up as a bombshell.

Representatives for Love Island confirmed to MailOnline that all Islanders taking part in Love Island are single and looking for love.
