Love Island’s Gemma Owen ‘has only won THREE global dressage competitions in seven years’

Love Island‘s Gemma Owen has reportedly only won three dressage competitions in the last seven years despite claiming she’s an international champion.
The 19-year-old daughter of former footballer Michael Owen most recently won an international competition in 2020 and came in 46th place in her last global contest.
The International Federation for Equestrian Sports’ FEI database has her recorded as winning twice in March 2017 before that.
Sporty? Love Island’s Gemma Owen, 19, has reportedly only won three dressage competitions in the last seven years despite claiming she’s an international champion
A source told The Sun: ‘Whenever she has explained what she does for a living on the show, she’s said she travels around the world competing in international dressage competitions.
‘That much is true, but sadly she doesn’t win very many.
‘She’s taken part in 39 competitions and won just three times. Her dad certainly had a better strike rate.’

MailOnline has contacted representatives for Love Island and for Gemma for comment.
It comes after Gemma’s former Love Island partner Liam Llewellyn finally got lucky by using flirty gags to woo two of the latest bombshells on romantic dates.
The announcement he was going to date Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, 27, and Afia Tonkmor, 25, as the cliffhanger on Wednesday night’s show left Gemma looking raging.

Fiery! It comes after Love Island fans went crazy for Ekin-Su as she amped up the drama on Thursday’s episode, entering the villa as a bombshell
Liam, 22, has been unlucky so far on the ITV2 dating show, with Davide Sanclimenti, 27, deciding to couple up with Gemma, leaving the Master’s student single.
He said about the turnaround announcement he had landed two dates: ‘It’s a massive booster, definitely what I needed, I am buzzing now, I can’t wait to meet the girls.’
Liam was seen on tonight’s show telling Afia after they meet in the candlelit courtyard: ‘I like your vibe. You’re just a laugh, a bubbly, outgoing girl and that’s exactly what I want.’

Gains: And Ekin-Su wasted no time either, as she got a joint workout in with Davide Sanclimenti
When Afia asked: ‘Would you say I am your type?’ Liam replied: ‘You’re definitely my type, 100 %.’
The Welsh lad also flirted with Turkish actress and influencer Ekin-Su from the offset when they met.
She said: ‘You’ve got really nice eyes, the colour of the sea, almost like you can kind of swim in it and get lost.’

Triggered: But her brash entrance left the girls unimpressed, as they had a debrief in the bedroom
Liam joked back: ‘Are you getting a bit lost?’, prompting Ekin-Su to admit: ‘Maybe I am.’
She later added: ‘Your eyes are just hypnotising me, I love blue eyes.’
The dates came after Gemma set her sights on businessman Davide while being coupled with Liam.
After getting what she wanted when Davide chose her in the recoupling, Gemma soon U-turned – leaving fans convinced she was going to try and win back Liam.

Date night: Liam Llewellyn was chosen by the public to go on dates with newcomers Afia Tonkmor and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu
But on tonight’s show Gemma was seen telling fishmonger Luca Bish, 23, she found him attractive.
Following a game of dares, Luca pulled the teen for a chat and they headed to the rooftop.
Gemma confessed: ‘I am attracted to you, I definitely would want to get to know you.’

Luca said: ‘You stare into my eyes and I just want to stare into yours!’
The dares were linked to a game of beer pong – with one being prompted by very accurate throw.
Ekin-Su ended up being tasked with performing a dance on an Islander of her choice – picking Davide to enjoy her moves, and ending it with a kiss on the cheek.
She said afterwards: ‘Who else would I want to be rubbing my booty against, you know, the nice little eight pack!’

The dares also saw estate agent Andrew Le Page, 27, and paramedic Paige Thorne, 24, kiss after he was dared to lock lips with the girl who he believes is ‘wifey material’.
She reciprocated when asked to smooch who she thought was boyfriend material.
Dancer Tasha Ghouri, 23, was left less than impressed by Andrew, and admited to Gemma and Dami Hope, 26: ‘It wasn’t nice to see at all.’
Love Island continues on Friday at 9pm on ITV2.
