A mother-of-two was left in shock after her slim 10-year-old son only just managed to fit into her Primark jeans – supposedly a women’s size 14.
Rachel Loyns, 29, from Cardiff, had made up her mind to give the blue trousers away to charity after she was barely able to fit one of her legs into them.
However, before donating them she gave them to her son Kayden, 10, to try on and was amazed when the jeans appeared to be a snug fit on the young boy.
She revealed that Kayden is about 4ft 10 and normally wears clothes for a 11 to 12- year-old, but the women’s size 14 jeans fit snugly on his legs.
The make-up artist saw the funny side of the situation and posted a picture of her son wearing the jeans to a Facebook group, PRIMARK HAUL, where customers share their best buys from the bargain clothing store.

She joked that she felt better about the jeans not fitting on her after she saw how tight they were on her young son.
Rachel wrote: ‘My son is 10 and 4”11 (ish) teenagers size 11-12 clothes and he fits women’s size 14 Primark jeans.
‘And no wonder they don’t fit me. I’m 5”11 and size 12-14 bottoms.
Speaking to the Mirror, Rachel said the reason she posted the snaps was to help other women feel better about clothing sizes not fitting them – as it can have an impact on someone’s self-esteem.

Another responded: ‘Glad I saw this, I’m usually a 14 in bottoms and couldn’t get a pair past my thighs last week, felt terrible about it.’
Meanwhile another woman added her story about her struggle to fit into a pair of jeans, writing: ‘I had a pair of Mam jeans, I’m a size 10/12 normally so bought a 14 as people told me to size up.
‘They didn’t fit so got a 16, didn’t fit so then got an 18, they were still tight ended up with a size 20 that just about fit.’
A Primark spokeswoman told the Mirror: ‘The fit of our clothing is really important to us and we welcome any customer feedback.
