Piers Morgan jokes he wrote to Ofcom because Amanda Holden was wearing ‘TOO MANY’ clothes… as he makes cheeky dig after THOSE racy gowns sparked complaints on BGT
She has been on the receiving end of more than 200 Ofcom complaints for her daring gowns on Britain’s Got Talent.
And according to Piers Morgan, he was one of the armchair critics who filed a complaint, but for a very different reason.
The Good Morning Britain host, 55, joked on Saturday that he reached out to Ofcom to humorously report his pal, 49, for actually wearing ‘too many clothes’ during the 2020 series.
Prankster: She bore the brunt of more than 200 Ofcom complaints for her daring gowns on Britain’s Got Talent and according to Piers Morgan, he also filed a complaint, but for a very different reason
As they discussed her influx of BGT complaints on Amanda’s Heart FM show, he revealed: ‘I was one of those people who complained to Ofcom about your dress.
‘But I only complained because I thought that you were wearing too many clothes.’
Amanda’s outfit- which featured a sheer black lace bustier and thigh-high split- sparked over 236 Ofcom complaints and led viewers to question whether she had suffered a wardrobe malfunction on the show.
The week prior, she wore a plunging navy gown with a daring thigh-high split and a built in underwire on the bust which sparked another flurry of complaints.

Some viewers mistook the revealing neckline for a nip slip and expressed their outrage at her risqué outfit choices on Twitter.
One fan said: ‘When has it become acceptable to show your underwear on a family show Amanda Holden?’
While another complained: ‘Does anyone else think a large portion of Amanda’s dress has gone missing..? Don’t they realise kids watch this show.’
Another fan quipped: ‘Amanda Holden still thinking she’s a teenager.’
Earlier this month, Amanda laughed off the drama regarding her BGT controversies as she spoke exclusively to MailOnline.
She said: ‘I can see what people think, it had a like an underwire, you know when you have an underwire bikini or bra, the end of it it’s like an upside down U isn’t it. The end of it dug in.
‘I was more insulted that people thought I had either huge saucepan nipples or nipples over my cleavage.
‘I am seriously thinking my girls need separate representation to me, because they are known on their own.
‘They don’t need me, they’re going to go off and do Piers Morgan’s Life Stories on their own next year!
‘They’re going to do their own album, they’re bringing out their own autobiography – The Truth Behind The Bra!’
