Princess Beatrice enjoys a stroll with her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi

Princess Beatrice was spotted enjoying a wintery afternoon stroll with her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in England’s capital on Friday.

The newlyweds, who currently reside in a flat at St James’s Palace, both bundled up from the icy weather as they wandered through St James’s Park.

Beatrice, 32, cut a casual figure in a cosy black parka coat, which she teamed with navy leggings and practical black walking boots.

The royal added a touch of colour to her comfortable outfit with a vibrant red and pink scarf, and a blue beanie hat, which she tucked her auburn tresses underneath.

While property developer Edo, who Beatrice married in a low-key ceremony in Windsor last July, sported a black jacket, blue jeans and brown walking boots.

Edo, 38, completed his informal attire with a personalised navy baseball cap, which has ‘Mr M-M’ stylishly stitched into it.

Recalling time previously spent under lockdown with his mother and stepfather in Oxfordshire, he recently said: ‘It was magical but I certainly didn’t get to the end of lockdown and think I wanted to live in the countryside for the rest of my life.’

The executive has a son Wolfie, from his previous relationship with American architect Dara Huang, with friends previously speaking of the good relationship Beatrice has with her new stepson.

Meanwhile, Beatrice’s sister Princess Eugenie is pregnant with her first baby with husband Jack Brooksbank, with the royal’s due date fast approaching in mid-February.

The baby will be the Queen’s ninth great-grandchild and the first grandchild of Prince Andrew, 60, and Sarah Ferguson, 61.

The Duchess of York has recently predicted that her daughter will be ‘an incredibly empathetic and very strong mother’.

Speaking to Us Weekly, she said Eugenie would follow in her footsteps and be ‘a very present’ parent, adding: ‘She is incredibly empathetic and will be a great mother.’

Praising her daughter for her empathetic attitude, Fergie added: ‘She is a very strong and determined person, always looking for the truth in all she does.’

Days earlier, it was revealed the Queen’s granddaughter is ‘nesting’ at Frogmore Cottage, following reports she had moved back in with her parents at the nearby Royal Lodge over the Christmas break to prepare for her first child.

The Royal Lodge is about five miles from Windsor Castle, where the Queen and Prince Philip have spent lockdown, while it’s also just a few miles from Frogmore Cottage.

When Prince Harry moved to the US with wife Meghan Markle, he is believed to have handed the keys to Frogmore Cottage to his cousin Eugenie.

It was understood that Eugenie and her cousin Harry reached a ‘private agreement’ over Frogmore Cottage though it is not known how long it will last.

At the time of the move, Harry and Meghan, who currently reside in an £11million mansion in California, said they were ‘delighted’ to ‘open up their home’ while they were in the United States.

Frogmore Cottage was gifted to The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, by the Queen ahead of their wedding in May 2018, and remains their UK residence.

Meghan and Harry spent £2.4million from the Sovereign Grant on renovations on Frogmore Cottage – an outlay of public money which became controversial after they quit as working royals in March. However they have since paid the funds back.

Jack and Eugenie, who wed in October 2018, were living at the three-bedroom Ivy Cottage in the grounds of Kensington Palace near Prince William and Kate Middleton until last year.

Last week, Hello! Magazine revealed that Princess Eugenie and Jack’s first child is due mid-February.

Eugenie first announced her pregnancy in a Instagram post in September, with a photo of herself and her husband, holding a pair of teddy bear slippers, with the caption ‘Jack and I are so excited for early 2021…’
