Princess Beatrice is the new patron of the British Skin Foundation
Princess Beatrice cut a sophisticated figure when visiting Queen Mary University of London in her role as the new patron of the British Skin Foundation.
The 34-year-old royal looked the part in a white lab coat as she toured the research lab at the Centre For Cell Biology and Cutaneous Research, Blizard Institute, today.
When not sporting the garment, which was branded with the British Skin Foundation’s logo as well as ‘HRH Princess Beatrice, Patron’, the mother-of-one looked fashionable in a patterned white and black dress.
Looking effortlessly elegant, she teamed the jazzy frock with a simple black blazer, cinched at the waist with a matching belt.
The princess completed her look with a glamorous smattering of makeup on her features, and kept her locks straight.

The British Skin Foundation is a UK charity that raises funds for research into all types of skin diseases, including skin cancer.
Founded in 1996, it has supported 400 research projects and awarded £17,000,000 in funding, according to its website.
During her visit, the royal spoke with skin cancer survivor Nicky Ewart – who helped fundraise for the charity in her role as Ladies Captain for Denham Golf Club.
Nicky said: ‘Being diagnosed with skin cancer is extremely frightening and it’s a time filled with a lot of uncertainty and worry.
‘My skin cancer was thankfully caught early but had to be cut out which can leave scarring and part of my ear was removed.
‘A lot of others at the golf club have also had skin cancer so as a group we felt passionately that the British Skin Foundation was a charity we would love to support.’
What’s more, Princess Beatrice said she was ‘so pleased’ to be working with the British Skin Foundation.
The royal said: ‘I have admired their work and research for many years, and they have helped so many people through the foundation’s pioneering efforts.

‘I am grateful to be working with them, to learn as much as I can about their ground-breaking endeavours.’
Princess Beatrice’s outing comes after her sister Princess Eugenie revealed she is expecting her second child with her husband Jack Brooksbank.
The youngest daughter of Prince Andrew and the Duchess of York, 32, shared her pregnancy news by posting an adorable snap on Instagram showing her one-year-old son August kissing her stomach.
She wrote: ‘We’re so excited to share that there will be a new addition to our family this summer.’
Eugenie gave birth to her first son August Philip Hawke Brooksbank, who is 13th-in-line to the throne, at London’s Portland Hospital in February 2021.
Posting a tribute on Instagram to her youngest daughter, Fergie wrote: ‘You will be sharing puddles, Augie! Superb news, Granny heaven…. So deeply grateful.’
Meanwhile Fergie also shared a snapshot of the little toddler playing in a puddle in the pouring rain.

In a statement, Buckingham Palace said: ‘Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are pleased to announce they are expecting their second child this summer.
‘The family are delighted and August is very much looking forward to being a big brother.’
While it is not known where the photo of the princess and August was taken, it appears to have been captured in the past few weeks, with frost on the ground.
