A teenage driver who led police on a 60 mile chase reaching speeds of 165mph before crashing into a house has been put behind bars.
Shocking video supplied by Derbyshire Police shows student Usman Kiani, 19, outpacing dozens of police cars in the high-speed pursuit.
Kiani left the M1 and headed for the countryside in a black Audi S3 before he lost control and crashed into a wall outside a house in Theddingworth, Leicestershire.
He and four others escaped unhurt and fled on foot, but were caught in a nearby field after officers were directed to them by a police helicopter.
Kiani, of Luton, was charged with dangerous driving and driving without insurance and pleaded guilty to the offences which took place in April.

Appearing at Derby Crown Court today, he was sent to a young offenders’ institution for six months and was also banned from the road for five-and-a-half years.
Sentencing, Judge Shaun Smith QC said Kiani’s offending was ‘the most appalling piece of driving I have ever seen without serious consequences’.
‘How somebody was not killed is a miracle,’ he said.
‘It’s absolutely unbelievable, it was a 60-mile chase with you reaching the highest speed the car would go with four other young people in the car egging you on.
‘The risk was immense and all because you did not have any insurance. If you had stopped when told in Yorkshire you would be looking at a fine and some points on your licence. But instead of stopping you put the lives of many people at risk.’
Sarah Allen, prosecuting, said the offence took place in the early hours of April 26.
She said police in Yorkshire alerted Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire police to the Audi and they set up a road block at Junction 26 near Ilkeston. But footage shows how the teenage driver hurtled through the block.

Ms Allen told the court the Audi it went out of Derbyshire and through Leicestershire before speeding down 30mph country lanes at 100mph.
She said: ‘It crashed in the village of Theddingworth and five people decamped and fled but they were found, with the assistance of the police helicopter, in a field.
‘The defendant told officers he had been to a party in Bradford, taken a friend’s Audi, knew he wasn’t insured and when he saw a police car in West Yorkshire, in his own words, he ‘floored it’.’
Kiani has no previous convictions. Nicola Patten, mitigating, said her client is unemployed but is a full-time registered carer for his mother.
She said: ‘He knows exactly that what he did was stupid and he will never, ever, do anything like this again. He cannot believe he did it in the first place.’
