Tuesday evening news briefing: Exploding pagers kill eight and injure 3,000 in suspected Israeli attack on Hezbollah



Hezbollah has accused Israel of being behind an exploding pager attack which injured almost 3,000 Hezbollah members and paramedics across Lebanon.

“The enemy [Israel] stands behind this security incident,” a Hezbollah official said. Another official said the detonation of the devices marked the “biggest security breach” since the terror group began attacking Israel on October 8. Follow the latest on this story here.

‘I never raped you,’ Dominique Pélicot tells daughter in court standoff

Dominique Pélicot, the French pensioner accused of drugging his wife and recruiting dozens of strangers to rape her, told his daughter he “never” targeted her in the decade of abuse.

Pélicot also insisted he never made any “inappropriate gestures” towards his grandchildren despite allegations he asked his school-aged granddaughters to pose naked for him.
