A staffer has been bitten by an animal at Carole Baskin’s Big Cat Rescue in Tampa, Florida.

The attack on the worker happened at around 8am on Thursday morning and fire officials rushed to the scene.

It is not known what the animal was or what the injuries are, although they are not thought to be life-threatening.

Baskin, 59, was thrust into the limelight when she featured in the 2020 Netflix documentary ‘Tiger King’ with Joe Exotic. She later appeared on ‘Dancing with the Stars’. 

The series focused on Joe’s bizarre life, his Oklahoma zoo, as well as his bitter feud with big-cat rights activist Baskin.  

Joe, real name is Joseph Allen Maldonado-Passage, is one year into a 22-year sentence for trying to hire a hit man to kill her.
