Candice Bergen puts her gorgeous Hamptons home on the market for $18M

Murphy Brown alum Candice Bergen and her second husband Marshall Rose have reportedly put their East Hampton cedar-shingled country house on the market for $18M.

The 74-year-old Oscar nominee moved into the 83-year-old real estate magnate’s cottage after their 2000 wedding following the 1996 death of his first wife Jill, according to Variety.

The 4,500-square-foot property was originally built in the mid-1980s by Jaque T. Robertson, and Candice and Marshall renovated it in 2004.

Bergen and Rose’s 1.8-acre estate boasts five bedrooms, five and a half bathrooms, as well as a one-bedroom/one-bathroom detached guesthouse.

That lovely Long Island, NY light fills the large living room through floor-to-ceiling windows lining the walls.

It was the perfect spot for the five-time Emmy winner to catch up on her reading alongside her three dogs, including two half-Saint Bernards-half Poodles, Lloyd and Bruce.

Candice apparently ‘loves sitting areas,’ and one of the other little nooks features a fireplace with a carved pine mantel by Francis J. Purcell.

Bergen cooked up a storm in her equally light-filled kitchen featuring a marble-topped island bar as pots and pans hang in a large rack overhead.

The formal dining room borders a book shelf, and the table has a Lee Calicchio chandelier hanging overhead along with horse-shaped folk art.

The back of the house features a Dutch gambrel roof shading the long rear porch featuring dining furniture for warm summer days.

There’s a beautifully bloomed perennial garden designed by Jane Lappin and Arlene Gould and other landscaping by Edmund Hollander.
