Courtney Stodden calls for Chrissy Teigen to lose brand deals saying it’s ‘not a good look’

Courtney Stodden has revealed Chrissy Teigen still hasn’t apologized to them privately and has called for her to lose her lucrative deals, warning brands it’s ‘not a good look’ to be ‘aligning with someone who encourages a minor to commit suicide’.
Stodden blasted Teigen saying the 35-year-old had ‘made her career out of apologizing’ and questioned the sincerity of her public Twitter apology in an exclusive video obtained by DailyMail.com.
The 26-year-old, who has recently said she is non-binary, made the comments Friday in Palm Springs amid the ongoing scandal.
Teigen came under fire this week after Stodden revealed the former model and wife of John Legend sent abusive messages in the past telling them to kill themself.
In 2011, Teigen published a barrage of tweets telling then-16-year-old Stodden to ‘go to sleep forever’.
Stodden said this was only part of the picture, saying Teigen would also ‘privately DM me and tell me to kill myself.’
Teigen responded Wednesday posting a lengthy apology on Twitter saying she was ‘mortified’ by her past behavior and had tried to reach out to Stodden to apologize.
In the wake of the scandal, it was revealed that Teigen lost her contract with retail giant Target while she has been slammed by numerous commentators and famous faces including Candace Owens, Farrah Abraham and Lindsay Lohan’s mom Dina.

Stodden was seen out in Palm Springs Friday amid the ongoing scandal with Chrissy Teigen
Stodden hit back at Teigen’s claim that she apologized privately, saying ‘she said she did but she didn’t.’
‘She apologized on Twitter but I was blocked from the apology so couldn’t really see it but a few people sent it to me,’ she said.
‘I feel if she was sincerely sorry she would have at least got in touch with me privately. She said she did but she didn’t.’
Stodden demanded Teigen loses all her lucrative deals with brands immediately and called for a boycott of any that stick with the disgraced 35-year-old, saying ‘luckily we have a choice where we spend our money.’
‘Vrbo, Target, Paypal… I think should really reconsider aligning with someone who promotes violence and encourages a minor to commit suicide,’ said Stodden.
‘That is disgusting and it’s not a good look. Luckily we have a choice where we spend our money.’
The 26-year-old urged brands to ‘rethink’ their association with Teigen as they sent a message to other victims of online abuse and bullying.
‘I am living proof that you can get through harassment and bullying. I think anybody dealing with a bully – you are so worthy and no matter how in power that bully is or how popular that bully is, life is always worth living.
‘And it’s really awful to feel like you’re dispensable and your life is dispensable. I really think the brands need to rethink that.’

They questioned the sincerity of Teigen’s public Twitter apology in an exclusive video obtained by DailyMail.com
Stodden laughed that Teigen has ‘kind of made her career out of apologizing’ as they admitted the last weak had been ‘not easy’.
‘I’m doing good. You know it’s not easy but I’m getting through it. I’m happy,’ Stodden said.
Target has already parted ways with Teigen since the scandal erupted this week.
Its website is no longer displaying her cookware line Cravings by Chrissy Teigen – which she launched with them exclusively in 2019 – but it is still selling three of her cookbooks.
TMZ reported Thursday that Target had removed her cookware line last month, but a source close to Teigen tells DailyMail.com that the partnership ended in December last year and had nothing to do with the controversy.
Target confirmed the news to DailyMail.com in a statement on Thursday, saying: ‘We made the mutual decision in December to no longer carry the cookware line, given our continued focus on brands we develop and that can only be found at Target.’

Teigen came under fire this week after Stodden revealed the former model and wife of John Legend sent abusive messages in the past telling them to kill themself
Stodden first made the claims against the model as early as April last year in an Instagram post saying they felt bullied by her.
Meanwhile, vacation rental firm Vrbo announced only this Tuesday that the Teigen-Legend family had struck a deal to be its first-ever ‘Family in Residence’ with a new ad and a brand new Legend adaptation of a classic song.
Stodden revealed this week that Teigen had sent abusive direct messages where she told the former teen bride to commit suicide.
‘[Chrissy] wouldn’t just publicly tweet about wanting me to take “a dirt nap” but would privately DM me and tell me to kill myself. Things like, “I can’t wait for you to die,”‘ she tweeted.
A ‘dirt nap’ alludes to a dead person’s burial.
Teigen publicly tweeted about Stodden several times in 2011 as well.
‘My friday fantasy: you. dirt nap. mmmmmm baby,’ one of the tweets read.
Another tweet from Teigen to Stodden stated: ‘go. to sleep. forever.’

Mean tweets: Messages from Teigen towards Stodden began to resurface on Monday
Stodden was just 16 years old at the time.
Teigen published an apology on Twitter Wednesday saying she was ‘ashamed and completely embarrassed’ by her actions.
‘Not a lot of people are lucky enough to be held accountable for all their past bulls*** in front of the entire world. I’m mortified and sad at who I used to be.’
She added: ‘I was an insecure, attention seeking troll. I am ashamed and completely embarrassed at my behavior but that…is nothing compared to how I made Courtney feel.’
Teigen concluded: ‘And I am so sorry I let you guys down. I will forever work on being better than I was 10 years ago, 1 year ago, 6 months ago.’
But Stodden fired back that Teigen ‘never’ reached out to them privately to apologize for the abusive tweets and direct messages that she sent in 2011.
‘I accept her apology and forgive her. But the truth remains the same, I have never heard from her or her camp in private,’ wrote Stodden via Instagram on Wednesday.
The 26-year-old also said they had been ‘blocked’ by Teigen on Twitter so – while she put the apology out to the public – Stodden could not see it.
‘In fact, she blocked me on Twitter,’ Stodden wrote, followed by a screengrab showing that they were unable to view Chrissy’s account due to being allegedly blocked.
Conservative commentator Candace Owens waded into the drama, finding and sharing a series of other controversial tweets from Teigen.
In 2013, it emerged Teigen called a then nine-year-old Quvenzhané Wallis ‘cocky’, as well as Teen Mom star Farrah Abraham a ‘wh**e’ the same year.
‘Is it okay to call a small child cocky?’ Teigen tweeted at the time when Wallis had been nominated for an Oscar in 2013.

Apology: Teigen addressed the controversy on her Twitter account on Wednesday as she penned a lengthy apology

Forgiven? The former teen bride said they were dubious about the intention behind Teigen’s apology and posted an image showing they had been blocked by the model on Twitter
‘I am forced to like Quvenzhané Wallis because she’s a child right? Okay fine.’
Teigen appeared to suggest that the young actress had come across as precocious at the ceremony, where she had been nominated for her turn in Beasts of the Southern Wild. But facing backlash at the time, Teigen later deleted the tweet.
That same year, Teigen took at aim at a then-21-year-old Teen Mom star Farrah Abraham, tweeting: ‘farrah abraham now thinks she is pregnant from her sex tape. in other news you’re a whore and everyone hates you whoops not other news sorry.’
Owens continued to hit out at Teigen Thursday branding her a ‘massive, disgusting hypocrite.’
‘Chrissy Teigen has offered a public apology to Courtney Stodden for encouraging her to commit suicide as a teenager, but ONLY because I blew the story up,’ she wrote.
‘The media has given Chrissy a pass for YEARS as she has monstrously attacked people, repeatedly for simply existing.’
On Friday, Owens then labeled her a Hollywood ‘predator’ similar to Harvey Weinstein and Jeffrey Epstein who has publicly victimized women for years.
Owens tweeted Friday that despite her predatory ways Teigen has been able to get away with ‘victimizing’ people for years because she was ‘protected by Hollywood.’
‘People wonder how people like Harvey Weinstein & Epstein were able to victimize people for years despite the fact that “everybody knew”. It’s the same reason Chrissy Teigen has been platformed despite publicly victimizing women for over a decade. Hollywood protects predators.’ Owens tweeted.
She then followed up with a tweet that read #SurvivingChrissyTeigen, a reference to the Surviving R. Kelly docuseries that exposed abuse allegations against the singer.
Owens also posted on her Instagram stories, where she encouraged people to go to Macys.com and leave negative reviews of Teigen’s kitchenware.
