Donald Trump Jr selling $500 videos on celebrity app Cameo

Donald Trump Jr has joined the celebrity video app Cameo to spread his MAGA gospel, but it will cost a pretty penny for a personalized video message.

For a mere $500, Cameo patrons can receive a customized video from the former president’s son, ranging from anything to wishing someone a happy birthday or a requesting a rousing MAGA video clip and nearly everything in between.

On the heels of his father being banned from Twitter, Don Jr appears to be picking up the MAGA mantle, using the Cameo app to further his family’s political agenda.

‘Guys, Donald Trump Jr here, really excited about being on Cameo, look forward to communicating with you guys,’ the 43-year-old said in a brief recorded introduction.

The former president’s oldest child, who is the executive vice president of the Trump Organization, described himself as a ‘Father, Patriot, Outdoorsman, Political Commentator and #1 NYT Bestselling author’ on his Cameo app profile.

Don Jr’s Cameo profile appears to be another platform for the Trump family to spread the MAGA gospel after his father was banned from Twitter following the deadly riot at the US Capitol in January.

His presence on the Cameo app has a charitable purpose as well, according to his profile’s intro video.

‘Getting K-9s in the hands of vets that need them. Looking forward to doing all that and speaking to you guys real soon. It’s good to be here.’

As of Wednesday, his Cameo profile had a perfect five-star rating based off of 19 reviews, with 411 members of his Cameo ‘fan club’.

‘Wow!!! Thank you so much Donald Trump Jr. for the fantastic personal video message for my husband. I also want to thank you and your family for all you do for the American people. God Bless the Trump Family!!!’ one five-star reviewer commented.

‘We appreciate it! We made some Make Fishing Great Again hats. We would love to get you one. Lmk where 2 send (Hidden by Cameo) Erik met you on a hunting trip a while back,’ another happy Cameo patron commented.

While Don Jr’s $500 price tag may seem hefty to some, it’s a bargain compared to Floyd Mayweather Jr’s Cameo prices, which will set patrons back a whopping $999 for a personalized message from the retired undefeated boxer.

For those looking for cheaper alternatives, a personalized Cameo video from rapper Flavor Flav is only $250, and $300 for actor David Hasselhoff.

The Trump’s have a contentious relationship with social media and similar applications, with the former president no longer allowed on his preferred platform after Twitter banned him in January to lessen ‘the risk of further incitement of violence’, according to the social media app.

Trump Sr remains banned on the Twitter app as of this article’s publication date.

The Cameo app was launched back in 2017 with the intention of allowing fans to purchase personalized video messages from their favorite celebrities and athletes.

Users of the app provide a script to the Cameo celebrity of their choice (no more than 250 characters per video), and receive the customized clip shortly thereafter.

The app, which charges a .25 cent fee per video, raked in $100 million last year alone.
