How ‘jab jewelry’ being sold by Amazon and worn by vaccine advocates like NY Gov Kathy Hochul

Vaccination bling is sweeping the Internet in a trend that even NY Governor Kathy Hochul is taking part in after she was seen wearing a gold nameplate that read ‘vaxed’ at multiple events last week.

Amazon has already begun selling iterations of the pro-vaccine jewelry for other vaccinated people to get the governor’s look at an affordable price, such as a $39 sterling silver necklace that spells out the word ‘vaccinated’ in cursive similar to the one the governor donned.

Hochul’s was from a brand called VaxedSwag and the gold necklace set the governor back $27.

Many vendors on Etsy joined in on the business opportunity as more people look to display their vaccination status. Etsy seller THEVAXXEDHUT is going beyond necklaces to offer earrings, silver-plated or beaded charm bracelets that read either ‘vaccinated’ or ‘vaxxed’ – and all for only $9.

A different seller is offering a $15 charm boasting a plate reading ‘vaxxed af’ paired with a metal needle that could be added to a keychain or clasped to a chain as a piece of jewelry. And another gives a choice of three charms that specify which brand of shot someone received.

A pricier option is a $48 necklace that spells out ‘vaccinated’ and comes in silver, gold, yellow and a range of chain sizes, not to mention more than 100 five-star reviews.

The site also has key chains and pins – one even features Rosie The Riveter wearing a face mask and sporting a bandage on her upper arm. Her infamous speech bubble reading ‘we can do this’ was replaced with ‘vaccinated’.

The governor used her jewelry to send a message on Thursday, when she announced her pick for lieutenant governor just two days after being sworn in following disgraced former Gov Andrew Cuomo's resignation

On his Monday night segment, Fox News host Tucker Carlson mocked the trend, citing it as ‘the cult of coronavirus,’ which has taken the place of religion in America.

He insisted the new so-called creed has been encouraging its followers to swap their cross necklaces for vaccination bling and characteristically slammed Covid-19 vaccines, this time for taking the place of ‘the faith that created Western civilization – Christianity’.

He called the cross ‘yesterday’s symbol’ and cited New York Governor Kathy Hochul as ‘one of the high priestesses of this new faith’ as she donned today’s pendant – a vaccination necklace – while giving a speech at NYC’s Christian Cultural Center on Sunday.

Carlson likened the governor giving a speech to ‘Bishop Hochul’ preaching, slamming her for coming into office without being elected.

‘And I wear my vaccinated necklace all the time to say I’m vaccinated,’ Hochul said.

Carlson didn't fail to mention the other Covid-related paraphernalia available for purchase, such as a coloring book (pictured), which features Dr Fauci lifting weights at the gym, meditating in a Japanese garden and on a video conference with his cat

She added: ‘All of you. Yes, I know you’re vaccinated. You’re the smart ones. But, you know, there’s people out there who aren’t listening to God, what God wants.

‘You know this. You know who they are. I need you to be my apostles. I need you to go out and talk about it and say we owe this to each other. We love each other. Jesus taught us to love one another. And how do you show that love but to care about each other enough to say, please get vaccinated because I love you. I want you to live.’

The governor also used her jewelry to send a message on Thursday, when she announced her pick for lieutenant governor just two days after being sworn in following disgraced former Gov Andrew Cuomo’s resignation.

Hochul was vaccinated back in March and she received the single-dose Johnson & Johnson shot.

Carlson spoke candidly on his opinion of the governor’s speech. ‘Standing there, she wasn’t merely a mediocre, unelected governor of a dying state with bad weather.

‘No, Hochul was the vaccine messiah preaching the undying word of St Anthony Fauchi,’ he said.

‘Can I get an amen, ladies and gentlemen,’ Carlson added sarcastically, saying that vaccine necklaces are ‘the new way to show your love’.

‘The old way is to visit people, say, in the hospital as they died. That’s no longer allowed,’ he noted.

Carlson crowed that being part of this cult-like following and displaying your vaccination status was like ‘making the tough transition from traditional Western religion or religion about God to this new religion, which is not about God’.

He added: ‘It’s really about you and only you and more of you. And you, you, you, you, you.

‘There’s no mistaking what an incredibly good person you are. Everyone will see it.’

He didn’t fail to mention the other Covid-related paraphernalia available for purchase. ‘We recommend this age-appropriate Tony Fauci coloring book,’ Carlson said.

The description of the book – which features Dr Fauci lifting weights at the gym, meditating in a Japanese garden and on a video conference with his cat – said its ‘the antidote to your Covid-19 blues’.
