Ivanka Trump stepped out of her Washington, D.C. home in a powder blue frock on Wednesday, just one day after her former ‘best friend’ published a scathing recount of her alleged bratty behavior in high school.
Despite the temperature being in the low 40s, the White House senior adviser was dressed for spring in her Safiyaa fitted cape dress, which bared her arms and legs. She did have a coat with her, but she opted to carry it.
Ivanka, 39, has kept a relatively low profile since her father, President Donald Trump, lost the election, often leaving her home in a Secret Service SUV straight from her garage, but on Wednesday she was back to waltzing out of her front gate.
Heading out: Ivanka Trump, 39, was seen leaving her Washington, D.C. home at 9:50 a.m. on Wednesday

She was seen leaving around 9:50 a.m. and was dressed to impress in her designer dress, which was a repeat look. She previously wore the outfit to a lavish dinner in Seul with her father and South Korean President Moon Jae-in in June 2019.
The flattering design features caped shoulders, a narrow V-neckline, and a small slit in the back. She topped off the look with a pair of tan suede heels and a cream coat, which was slung over her arm as she made her way to the Secret Service vehicle parked at the curb.
Ivanka was wearing a protective face mask as well as the red string bracelet she almost always has on her left wrist. Though she hasn’t spoken about its purpose, it does bear a resemblance to the type of red string that Kabbalah practitioners wear to ward off the ‘evil eye.’
Her long blonde hair was center-parted and styled poker straight, her go-to hairstyle while working. She was sporting drop earrings and smokey eye makeup, but her mask covered most of her face when she left the house.
Ivanka’s husband, fellow White House senior adviser Jared Kushner, was seen heading to work earlier in the day at about 8:10 a.m.

The 39-year-old appeared to be in good spirits and had a smile on his face as he stepped out of their front gate in a navy suit, carrying his black work bag.
The couple has reportedly urged President Trump to concede, and they are expected to return to their home in New York City with their three children come January when Presiden-elect Joe Biden is sworn into office.
To add insult to injury, Ivanka’s former friend Lysandra Ohrstrom, 38, slammed her and her antics in an essay published by Vanity Fair on Tuesday.
Lysandra, a journalist who writes for The Observer and Huffington Post, attended Chapin, an all-girls private school on the Upper East Side, with Ivanka as a teenager. She also served as one of Ivanka’s two maids of honor at her 2009 wedding to Jared.
According to the writer, she and Ivanka were close until immediately after the wedding; their friendship fractured because Ivanka did not take enough interest in her new job.
Early bird: Ivanka’s husband, fellow White House senior adviser Jared Kushner, was seen heading to work earlier in the day at about 8:10 a.m.

Since then, she said they have had a distant but polite friendship after years of watching Ivanka defend her father.
Lysandra, who voted for Biden in the recent election, alleged, among other things, that Ivanka was charming and precocious as a teenager, which won over adults and made them think she’d shaken off her father’s crassness but was, in private, just as obsessed with money and struggled to hide it.
She recalled recommending a novel about a diner manager to Ivanka and her responding: ‘Why would you tell me to read a book about f*****g poor people?’
Ivanka also allegedly said, ‘Since when can a teacher afford a BMW?’ and ‘Why is a police officer living in a house like that?’ when they watched movies, claiming they would not be able to afford them in real life.
Lysandra alleged her former friend also coaxed other girls into bad behavior, including flashing their breasts at ‘the hot dog man’ from the windows of their school, then talked her way out of trouble when they were caught.
Tell all: On Tuesday, Vanity Fair published Lysandra Ohrstrom’s scathing essay about being friends with Ivanka when they were students at Chapin. They’re pictured in 2007
Behind the scenes: The writer alleged Ivanka (pictured at age 15 in 1996) was charming in public, but in private she was a bratty snob who blamed bad behavior on other schoolgirls
‘One of the earliest memories I have of Ivanka from before we were friends is when she blamed a fart on a classmate,’ she said.
‘Some time later, she goaded me and a few other girls into flashing our breasts out the window of our classroom in what has since been labelled the “flashing the hot dog man” incident in Chapin lore.
‘Ivanka had basically been the ringleader, but she pleaded her innocence to the headmistress and got off scot-free.
‘The rest of us were suspended,’ Lysandra said.
The journalist also recounted the time she allegedly spent with President Trump, saying he once asked her if Ivanka was the ‘prettiest’ girl in their grade. She claimed that he was stunned when she said she wasn’t.

Looking back: Lysandra described how they would use Donald Trump’s credit card to go shopping in Manhattan. Ivanka is pictured aged 15 in 1996 (left) and aged 18 (right)
‘Before I learned that the Trumps have no sense of humor about themselves, I remember answering honestly that she was probably in the top five,’ she wrote.
‘”Who’s prettier than Ivanka?” I recall him asking once with genuine confusion, before correctly naming the two girls I’d had in mind.
‘He described one as a young Cindy Crawford while the other he said had a great figure.’
She said Trump would make comments about her body as well, describing an incident at Mar-a-Lago during which Donald Trump Jr. snatched half of a grilled cheese sandwich from her plate.
‘Ivanka scolded him, but Mr. Trump chimed in, “Don’t worry. She doesn’t need it. He’s doing her a favor.” Conversely, he’d usually congratulate me if I’d lost weight,’ she claimed.
Over: Lysandra said they stopped being friends in 2009 after Ivanka’s wedding to Jared. Ivanka, Lysandra (left) and Chistina Floyd (right) are pictured in 2002

Lysandra also said that Ivanka told her she ‘hated’ a necklace she wore with her name in Arabic, and once said to her: ‘How does your Jewish boyfriend feel when you are having sex and that necklace hits him the face?
‘How can you wear that thing? It just screams, “terrorist.”‘
Lysandra added that Jared and Ivanka tried to set her up on dates with people in their social circle, and that despite her unkind words, she is generous.
She said their friendship ended the day after Ivanka and Jared’s wedding when she complained that the newlywed hadn’t taken any interest in her new job. The writer recalled Ivanka brushing her off, saying something like, ‘Ly, I’m too busy for this s**t.’
A spokeswoman for Ivanka did not immediately respond with a comment in response to Lysandra’s claims on Tuesday morning.
