After the service, Biden, wearing a navy blue suit, visited Beau’s grave. His deceased son is buried in the cemetery directly outside the church.
The president was joined by first lady Jill Biden, who wore a light pink jacket. She brought a bouquet of flowers to Beau’s grave.
The confirmation service was conducted Sunday afternoon at the church just two minutes down the road from his Greenville home. After the first couple entered for the service, the church bell tolled.

During his weekend in Delaware, which was filled with sunshine and mid-60’s temperatures, Biden played his first ever round of golf as president.
