Kanye West fans were left furious after the rapper failed to release his new album Donda on time, despite hosting a listening party.
Fans had expected the musician, 44, to drop the music at midnight but the album has yet to appear on any streaming services, with Kanye offering no explanation for the delay.
On Thursday, the star held a bizarre livestream event to debut his new album, with attendees taking to Twitter afterwards to share their rave reviews.

Donda, which is titled after the rapper’s late mother Donda West, gives devout fans a glimpse into his crumbling marriage to Kim Kardashian, and features collaborations with Jay-Z and Travis Scott.
Kanye unveiled the album via livestream on Apple Music as he held a listening party at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia.
The Stadium boasts a 71,000 seat capacity, and it’s reported Kanye ‘gave away 5,000 tickets’ to students in the Atlanta area, while some fans ‘paid a couple hundred bucks for seats.’
His estranged wife Kim was also one of the attendees alongside their daughter North and son Saint.

Voicing their frustrations after discovering this wasn’t the case, they penned: ‘So Kanye West sold out the stadium to release his Album #DONDA just to disappoint them and not drop it? They all need to sue him to refund them their money’

MailOnline has contacted Kanye’s representatives for comment.
During the listening party, Kanye arrived two hours late before silently walking onto the stage as his album played out for 48 minutes.
He did not speak during the event, but crumpled to the ground with his head in his hands when a song titled LOVE UNCONDITIONALLY, dedicated to his failed marriage to Kim, began to play.
The moving track featured the rapper’s late mother Donda’s voice repeatedly saying, ‘No matter what you never abandon your family.’

A source told E! News on Thursday that Kanye gave Kim a ‘heads up’ about the deeply personal song, which evoked a powerful emotional response from the rapper.
‘He was respectful and gave her the heads up,’ the insider said, adding that Kanye ‘did not want to blindside’ the 40-year-old SKIMS founder.
After the music finished, Kanye silently walked off the stage.
Those who were able to listen to the album took to Twitter afterwards to voice their excitement, penning: ‘DONDA REVIEW 7.9 THIS IS BASED ON WATCH PARTY SURE THE OFFICIAL RELEASE WILL HAVE A HIGHER SCORE.
‘My only critique is @kanyewest feels like a feature on his own album for the first half of it. But when the 2nd act hits OMG. Production is ahead of the curve as always,;
‘Kanye West’s Donda Review. One word. Masterpiece. I lost it this morning. Tears in my eyes when I listened to South Carolina. The Donda sample is insane. It felt so real. Kanye is the father of samples, we all know that but damn’;

‘genuine review is that donda is a breath of fresh air, still feeling classic to kanye while feeling new, having one of the best overall album themes ever, all of the features definitely helped the memorability and replaybility, it’s so diverse so it sumn for erryone’;
‘DONDA REVIEW: Kanye West ’ s Donda is a cinematic masterpiece. With features from Kid Cudi, Playboi Carti, Travis Scott and Baby Keem, this album really has the heart and soul it needs. Great messages, and even better music. Kanye is back. RATING: 9/10.’;
‘There is some good things about this album, features was fire, production was fire, mixing was bad and songs seemed way to short. My thinking is hopefully we get a lot more when it drops, we got songs kanye wasn’t even apart of. #DONDA plz be good. [sic]’.
All comes back to her: Upon the stream’s close, a photo of a very young Donda West appeared on screen for those viewing the event via Apple Music
Donda was originally slated to premiere on July 24, 2020, but was unexpectedly postponed amid Kanye’s failed run for presidency.
At the time, he released the album’s title track Donda on what would have been his mother’s 71st birthday, alongside a nostalgic visual filled with home video footage of the pair.
Donda is the follow-up album to 2019’s Jesus Is King, which saw Kanye enter into the realm of gospel music – inspiring the birth of his weekly Sunday Service sessions.
Dedication: The album’s name and title track make reference to the rapper’s late mother Donda West, who passed away in 2007 at the age of 58 due to complications caused by a cosmetic procedure
