The married Texas police chief who was accused of living a ‘triple life’ with a wife, a fiancée, and a girlfriend has been arrested for allegedly faking a marriage annulment document, which he sent to one of his partners as ‘proof’ that his marriage was over.
Father-of-four Jason Collier, 39, was taken into custody by the Texas Rangers on Thursday after his now ex-girlfriend Cecily Steinmetz accused him of sending her the fraudulent document during their relationship – which she says was going on while he was still married, and also seeing a third woman whom he had proposed to.
The former Stinnett Police Department chief, was placed on administrative leave after the accusations were brought to light on Facebook, however he has since resigned his post – and is now facing a charge of tampering with a government record with the intent to defraud or harm.

Accusations: Collier’s alleged infidelities were exposed by his girlfriend Cecily Steinmetz, who also shared an image of the fraudulent marriage annulment document he sent her (pictured)
Psychotic behavior: Steinmetz (pictured with Collier) called out the former Stinnett Police Department chief publicly on Facebook on Tuesday for leading a ‘double/triple life’
Wife: She says Collier told her his marriage to wife Opal (pictured together) had been annulled, despite him celebrating his anniversary in a touching Facebook post in September
Fiancee: After Steinmetz discovered that Collier had been lying to her, she was contacted by Kristi Shaffer, who said she had actually been engaged to the police chief since December
Steinmetz shared a photo of the allegedly fraudulent annulment document in a now-viral Facebook post on Monday, when she accused Collier of being a cheater, insisting that he not only had a serious relationship with her, but was also dating at least one other woman, whom she later learned he had been engaged to.
‘Chief Jason Collier is living a double/triple life. I was his girlfriend until yesterday,’ she wrote in the post, which also included several images of her and Collier, as well as a photo of him with his wife, and a screenshot of his dating app profile.
‘He lied to me and presented me with fake annulment documents when I found out he was married.
‘I also found out about a 2nd girlfriend, Kirsti, last night. He has lied to us, our children, and asked us both to marry him.’
She went on to call him a ‘poor representative’ of the town he served, alleging that he would drive to visit her an hour away in Amarillo when he was on shift.
‘We just returned from vacation in Taos on Sunday — meanwhile, his other GF was told he was on work assignment in Portland, OR,’ she added.

Texas Rangers are now investigating her claims about the fraudulent document, and have placed Collier under arrest with a bond set at $10,000, according to Fox 8.
The document that Collier sent to Steinmetz stated that it had been filed with the 108th District Court in Potter County, Texas, however the judge who presides over the court insists that no record of it exists – and pointed out that the case number used appears to be fake.
‘No match exists either under that name or cause number,’ Judge Doug Woodburn told KAMR. ‘Our case numbers are completely different, consisting of a 0 followed by 6 numbers, starting in 7 or 8.’
‘My court is followed by the letter E. It’s a fake.’
On the Stinnett Police Department’s website, Collier was described as being a married father of four, as well as an ordained minister.
The news of Collier’s arrest comes just days after Steinmetz’s candid Instagram post exposing his behavior went viral – and led several other women to come forward with their own claims about the ex-police chief’s alleged infidelities.

Sneaky: The Stinnett Police Department said Collier is married and an ‘ordained minister’ – and despite his claims that his marriage was annulled, he paid tribute to his wife in September
According to Heavy.com, Steinmetz learned of the deception after posting photos of herself with Collier on Facebook.
One of Collier’s other alleged girlfriends, Shaffer, then saw the post and commented, saying that she was dating him, too — even claiming that they’d been engaged since December.
Steinmetz then confronted Collier about his wife, which is when he sent her the ‘fraudulent’ document saying they’d annulled the marriage.
But Steinmetz didn’t buy it, and shared her story on Facebook.
‘Chief Jason Collier worked his way into my life, the life of my children and family,’ she wrote. ‘Spent the weekend with me on vacation in Taos this past weekend. Told me all weekend how he can’t wait to marry me. Turns out, I’m not the only one.
‘He took me on shift with him last week as well, but wouldn’t introduce me to the ladies in the office since according to him, “they’re b****** and one is mad I won’t date her sister.”
In jeopardy: Initially, the City of Stinnett placed Collier on administrative leave pending an investigation on January 27 – however he has now resigned and been arrested
‘He clearly has no morals or ethics,’ she added, according to Heavy.com ‘Not only has he hurt me, he has hurt my children with his lies … The jig is up, Jason.’
The situation has spiraled from there. Several other women have come forward making their own claims about Collier, with some saying they’d met him on dating apps and and one saying she was also dating the chief.
