Melania Trump breaks silence in dramatic new video about quality of life and cost of living in America as she blasts attempts to silence her husband Donald

Melania Trump slammed the Biden administration over the cost of living and what she claims is the silencing of her husband in a rare public statement.

The former first lady has kept her distance from the press and even her husband’s campaign, making a silent appearance at the Republican National Convention in July after the assassination attempt against the former president.

She posted a black and white video to social media Sunday, following up Thursday’s tease of her upcoming memoir, leaving no doubt about where she stands in the leadup to her husband’s battle to re-take the White House.

Melania began by stating: ‘The 2020 election results changed our lives forever. It impacted our quality of life, cost of food, gasoline, safety and even the geopolitical landscape.’

She then claimed that ‘America is more divided today than ever before’ before going off on the legal system’s treatment of her husband.

‘It has become increasingly apparent that there are significant challenges to free speech as demonstrated by the efforts to silence my husband.’

The video shows Trump’s words repeating as she says them before cutting to a photo of a blank white book with only the word ‘MELANIA’ in all caps on it, linking to her website to pre-order the apparent new book.

Promo copy for the book reads: ‘Melania is the powerful and inspiring story of a woman who has defined personal excellence, overcome adversity, and carved her own path. The former First Lady invites readers into her world, offering an intimate portrait of a woman who has lived an extraordinary life.’

The book also includes ‘stories and images never before shared with the public’.

Melania is selling for $40, with a signed copy going for $75 and a ‘collector’s edition’ for $250.

Her book will be released on October 1st.  It is available for pre-order on Amazon for $30.

‘Writing this memoir has been a deeply personal and reflective journey for me,’ she said in a video posted to her social media accounts Thursday.

‘As a private person who has often been the subject of public scrutiny and misrepresentation, I feel a responsibility to clarify the facts. I believe it is important to share my perspective: the truth.’

The 48-second video opens with the former first lady speaking directly to camera. It also features scenes from her time in the White House, including her trip to Africa and working on her Be Best campaign.

There are also some photos from her modeling days and as a young mother with her son Barron. Donald Trump is shown.

Melania Trump announced in July she was releasing a memoir, a stunning announcement from the normally private first lady.

In the book she ‘reflects on her Slovenian childhood, the pivotal moments that led her to the world of high fashion in Europe and New York, and the serendipitous meeting with Donald Trump, a chance encounter that forever changed the course of her life,’ according to its summary.

‘Melania opens up about their courtship, life in the spotlight, and experiencing the joy of motherhood. She shares behind-the-scenes stories from her time in the White House, shedding light on her advocacy work and the causes close to her heart.’

‘Melania’ will be released by Skyhorse Publishing, which has published such  Trump supporters as former New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani and attorney Alan Dershowitz

The former first lady has been the subject of many biographies and books but this is the first time she is telling her story.

It is unclear if she worked with a co-author and if she will go on a book tour.

Melania Trump, 54, has been something of an enigma in public life.

The third wife of Donald Trump is intensely private and spent much of her White House years focused on raising her son Barron, who was a teenage at the time.

Her son is now at NYU’s Stern School of Business and her husband is running for a second term in the White House.

After the Trumps left the White House in January 2021, Melania Trump maintained her low profile.

She has not been heavily involved in her husband’s 2024 campaign for the White House.

She appeared at his campaign announcement and at the Republican National Convention, where, unlike other spouses of candidates, she opted not to address the delegates.

She has yet to appear at a campaign rally.

She also didn’t attend the first presidential debate and has been careful to distance herself from her husband’s legal troubles.

She did host two fundraisers for Log Cabin Republicans, a conservative LGBTQ group.

And she’s worked on some foster care issues in her post-White House life.

Financial disclosure reports showed the former first lady earns a substantial income from speaking fees, properties in New York and Slovenia that she rents and her non-fungible token (NFT) licensing agreement.

Earlier this week, in an exclusive chat with DailyMail.com, Donald Trump spoke out on Melania’s role in the campaign and whether we would see her more between now and November.

‘Well, I would like to. It’s not a question of that. It’s a nasty world for me,’ he said, six weeks after an assassin’s bullet ripped through his ear.

‘It’s not nasty for Democrats like it is for me. And I would like to have my family not have to go out there and go in front of some of the things that you know happen.’

Melania, he said, cares deeply about the country.

‘She’ll do whatever necessary. But my kids haven’t been treated properly,’ he said. ‘She hasn’t been treated properly.’

Melania has picked her moments carefully. She received a thunderous reception at the party convention in Milwaukee and issued a public statement in the wake of the attempt on her husband’s life, calling on people to remember that love was worth more than political differences.

As far as Trump is concerned it is one thing for him to take the bullets and the brickbats, another for his family to be in the firing line.

‘My kids gave up so much, and all they did is get accused of Russia, Russia, Russia and all these hoaxes, you know, misinformation, disinformation,’ he said.

‘I don’t want them to be hurt by the horrible things that Democrats are willing to do.’
