Michael Madsen accuses ‘abusive’ wife DeAnna of driving their son to his suicide in explosive divorce filing
Actor Michael Madsen has filed for divorce from his estranged wife DeAnna, claiming he’s been a victim of her abuse for years.
The 65-year-old Reservoir Dogs star tied the knot with DeAnna, 64, in 1996 and they share three children – Kalvin, 27, Luke, 18 and Hudson, who committed suicide at just 26 back in January 2022 while stationed in Hawaii for the U.S. Army.
Madsen filed the divorce petition on Wednesday, citing irreconcilable differences and adding that he actually has been separated since January 2022.
He claimed in the petition that he believes DeAnna’s, ‘neglect, drinking and alcoholism’ contributed to Hudson taking his own life.
The Kill Bill star also alleged he has been in a, ‘abusive, co-dependent, and toxic relationship’ with DeAnna, which culminated in his domestic violence arrest last month.

Madsen is also seeking a domestic violence restraining order against his estranged wife in the petition.
The actor was arrested at his home in Malibu, California, after he allegedly ‘shoved’ his wife and locked her out of his home.
He was arrested on a misdemeanor domestic violence charge but was released on $20,000 bond.
His attorney Perry Wander insisted that his client was ‘not guilty of domestic violence.’
He also accused DeAnna of ‘breaking into’ Madsen’s home on Sunday, when the alleged incident occurred.
‘He confronted her and asked her to leave,’ Wander said, claiming that this ‘has been an ongoing problem.’
‘Michael has shown immense compassion and restraint during this period towards his estranged wife. He’s definitely not guilty of domestic violence,’ Wander concluded.
In response, DeAnna issued her own statement, alleging that her estranged spouse is ‘struggling with personal issues.’

‘Myself and our children have been supporting him to the best of our ability. We would request privacy at this time,’ she said.
Just a few weeks later, the case against Madsen was tossed out by the Los Angeles District Attorney due to ‘insufficient evidence.’

Madsen is best known for his collaborations with Quentin Tarantino such as Reservoir Dogs and Kill Bill.
