The vicious assault on July 31 was caught by a nearby surveillance camera, with the footage showing Caliber being approached by a man wearing orange shirt and black pants at around 6:15 p.m. near a Mount Baker parking lot.

The two men appear to shake hands, but the suspect doesn’t let go of the photographer and throws him to the ground on the sidewalk.

Unable to get up from underneath his attacker, Caliber is then shown being repeated kicked and stomped by the man in orange, who makes connection with the 22-year-old’s head a number of times, which is seen hitting the ground.

A witness to the attack soon called 911, Seattle Police Department said in a statement, and Caliber was taken to Harborview Medical Center where he received treatment for head trauma and ‘significant injuries to his face’.

He has now set up a GoFundMe page to help cover his medical bills and to cover the cost of his stolen belongings, which include his iPhone 12, cash and car keys belonging to his friend which cost $700 to replace.

His wallet with his personal debit card and ID cards were also taken, he said.

As he was recovering in the hospital, he said he’s been given multiple MRI tests and said he is still ‘spitting up blood’ and getting ‘severe headaches’ since the attack.

‘I turn 23 at the end of this month and wasn’t expecting any of this to come about, I’ve had some great support from close friends and family which I’m highly thankful for but at this point I really just want to look forward to enjoying my birthday,’ he said on his GoFundMe that has so far raised $10,304 of his $10,000 goal.

So far, no arrests have been made in connection to the attack. The suspect has been described as a 5’10” Black male, 180lbs with medium build, and was wearing an orange and yellow t-shirt, and black pants with a white stripe down the side at the time of the attack, police said.

‘If you have any information about this incident, please contact SPD’s Robbery Unit at 206-684-5535,’ the police statement added.
