A mother in China has been horrified to see her son being savagely grabbed and thrown to the ground by his teacher for playing in the classroom, reported local media.
The parent, Ms Fu, discovered the incident while viewing the security footage at the kindergarten in north-western Chinese city Xi’an after the nursery told her about her son’s injury.
The teacher, known by her surname Hou, was being investigated by police after the family alerted the authorities, an official statement said today.

Ms Fu told reporters that she was notified about her son’s injury by the kindergarten on December 11.
When she arrived at the nursery, the parent was shocked to find a large wound under her little boy’s chin.
The child was immediately rushed to the hospital and had eight stitches to treat the injury.
But the nursery staff insisted the pupil had accidentally fallen after playing with a stool in the classroom, according to local newspaper Xi’an Business, citing the parent.
After demanding to check the security camera, Ms Fu was devastated to discover what had happened.

In the CCTV footage widely circulated online, the boy is seen sitting next to the stool while rocking it back and forth.
The teacher, Ms Hou, walked towards the pupil before savagely grabbing the boy’s arm and shoving him to the ground in front of his stunned classmates.
She then tossed the chair aside and picked up the child aggressively, forcing him to stand up.
After the video became viral, the local education authorities confirmed the incident in a statement on Tuesday, saying that Ms Hou had used ‘inappropriate discipline’.
The teacher had been under investigation by police who would issue a punishment in accordance to the laws, the notice said.
In another interview with Xi’an Business, Ms Fu said that the kindergarten had offered to eliminate her son’s school fees and promised to sack the employee.
But it remains unclear if the teacher has received any punishment.
Various incidents of child abuse in recent years have haunted China’s pre-school industry.
Earlier this month, a kindergarten teacher was sacked and detained after sitting on top of a girl to force her to sleep during nap time.

Three teachers at a kindergarten in northern China’s Inner Mongolia were arrested in September after they were accused by parents of ‘stabbing the students with needles’.
In June, two kindergarten teachers in Zhejiang Province, eastern China were investigated by police after they allegedly beat their young pupils who struggled to fall asleep.
