A New Jersey man died after being beaten up at a strip club and dumped on a highway where he was struck by a car that dragged him several hundred feet, police say.
Marko Guberovic, 38, was killed at around 3.40am Saturday after getting into a fight with five other men at Satin Dolls – a club in Lodi made famous as the ‘Bada Bing’ in the HBO series The Sopranos, authorities said.
On Monday, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office announced the arrests of Ridgefield Park residents Adrian Hoti, 23; Fero Hoti, 24; Kevin Agudelo, 22; Christian Reyes, 22; and Julia Pena, 23.
Each man is facing charges of aggravated manslaughter and endangering an injured victim for their alleged roles in the killing.
Prosecutors said that after the fight, the five suspects left Guberovic ‘incapacitated’ in the left lane of Route 17, before getting in their vehicle to leave.
A short time later a red 2020 BMW M8 struck Guberovic, dragging him 600 feet, the Daily Voice reported, and killing him.
Authorities say Marko Guberovic, 38, (pictured) was beaten up by five men at a New Jersey strip club early Saturday, and left on a nearby highway where he was hit and killed by a car
Guberovic was known online for his love of Nike sneakers and the close relationship he had with his 11-year-old niece, Tessa
The driver of the BMW was not identified.
It remains unclear what sparked the fight between Guberovic and the men, or if they knew each other before coming to blows.
On social media, friends and acquaintances remarked on the sudden death of the Fair Lawn resident, who frequently posted about Nike sneakers and the close relationship he had with his 11-year-old niece, Tessa.
‘Way too soon,’ co-worker Josh Fiallo wrote on Facebook. ‘Life is super short and unpredictable. Y’all better start touching base with your loved ones or those you hold close.. family, homies, friends etc….. drop the pride/grudges and put some stuff to rest, before you have to put someone close to you to rest.’
A GoFundMe was set up by fellow sneaker enthusiasts to pay for funeral expenses.

‘Such a humble human being you were!!’ commented Joshua Campuzano on the fundraiser page. ‘Dude no matter where on the sneaker line you saw me You’d always say what up to me and would chop it up .Thanks for being who you were.’
‘Never met you but social media made me feel like I knew you,’ wrote Ebony Turner. Guberovic ran a sneaker Instagram account with nearly 64,000 followers.
Followers also expressed their condolences in his last post on the account on Friday featuring four sets of sneakers with four matching hats.
