An eyewitness claimed the star – who won an Oscar for his portrayal of an alcoholic in Leaving Las Vegas – had been drinking whiskey and tequila before the reported outburst.

He was wearing leopard print trousers pants and a black T-shirt and the actor can be seen struggling to get his sliders back on before staggering.

It comes three months after the death of his mother Joy Vogelsang in May who passed away at the age of 85 and his fifth marriage to Riko Shibata, 26, back in March.

In the clip Nicolas can be seen wearing leopard print trousers, a black T-shirt and no shoes before putting some sandals on and walking out of the door.

He then appears to try to walk back into the venue while a female member of staff stands in front of him blocking the way.

A source told the newspaper: ‘We were at that bar at Lawry’s when we noticed what we at first thought was a homeless man completely drunk and being rowdy.

‘To our shock it turned to be Nicolas Cage. He was completely smashed and was getting into a bit of a fight with the staff.

‘He was in a really bad state and was walking around shoeless. Staff told us he had been downing shots of tequila and 1980 Macallan whiskey.’

Nicolas’ mum Joy passed away on May 26.

Joy – who battled mental health issues for decades – had been in the hospital for two weeks before her passing, Nicolas’ bother Christopher shared on Facebook.

It comes after back in March 2019 Nicolas was filmed making a scene while applying for a marriage license with his much younger girlfriend, bizarrely telling onlookers she was going to take all of his money, seen in footage obtained by DailyMail.com.

The actor was seen with makeup artist Erika Koike – who would go on to be his fourth wife – at the Clark County Court House Marriage Licence Bureau in downtown Las Vegas around 11am.

Cage appeared to be ‘very out of it’ and was ‘most likely drunk’, an eyewitness told DailyMail.com at the time.

Cage, dressed in a dark jacket, red shirt and dark pants, was filmed slowly walking behind his girlfriend with his hands on his hips, muttering to himself.

At one point he raised his voice to say Koike’s ‘boyfriend’ was a drug dealer and that ‘he isn’t doing it’ – seemingly referring to getting a marriage license.

The video shows Koike calmly telling Cage, ‘I never asked you to do this’, before he smiles and gently pushes her through the hallway, saying ‘come on, let’s go’.

‘They started by filling the application in one of the machines,’ the source told DailyMail.com.

‘The whole time he was yelling ”she is going to take all my money” and ”her ex is a druggy, her ex is a druggy”.

‘The woman only kept saying ”Baby I am not asking you to do this”.’

Because the couple were making such a scene, they were taken into a private room and later left the courthouse with papers, according to the source.

The star – who is a nephew of legendary The Godfather director Francis Ford Coppola – has spoken previously about his need to keep working so he stays out of trouble.

In 2018 interview he said: ‘If I don’t have somewhere to go in the morning and a job to do, it can be very self-destructive.

‘Then I’m just going to sit and order two bottles of red wine and dissolve, and I don’t want to be that person, so I have to work.’

As well as Erika and Riko, Nicolas was married to Alice Kim from 2004 through 2016.

The couple were married in July 2004, and gave birth to their son Kal-El on October 3, 2005.

Before that, Cage was married to Lisa Marie Presley, 51, for around three months in 2002.

Prior to that, he was wed to Patricia Arquette, 50, from 1995 until 2001.

The Lord of War actor also has a son, Weston, 28, from a previous relationship with actress Christina Fulton.
