Paulina Porizkova has revealed that her sex life has been given a boost by a vibrating chair that stimulates the pelvic floor muscles in a way that is equivalent to doing thousands of Kegel exercises in just one session.
The 56-year-old supermodel took to Instagram on Thursday to share a photo of herself sitting on a BTL Emsella chair while visiting the office of Dr. Yael Halaas, a New York-based plastic surgeon who also offers a number of non-invasive cosmetic procedures.
The device is intended to restore weak pelvic floor muscles and treat urinary incontinence in women through electromagnetic stimulation, but Paulina pointed out it has also helped increase her sexual pleasure.

Feeling good: The device is intended to restore weak pelvic floor muscles and treat urinary incontinence. However, Paulina noted that it has been ‘wonderful’ for her sex life
According to Shape, the BTL Emsella produces 20,000 Kegel-like contractions in just 30 minutes and costs about $500 per session.
In the snapshot, the mother-of-two is seated on the chair wearing a T-shirt and jeans. She has her face mask pulled down to reveal her puckered lips as she coyly gazes up at the ceiling.
‘Speaking of dating… This “chair” I’m sitting on in @drhalaas office has been quite wonderful for my sex life. (Self pleasure included in “sex life”),’ she wrote. ‘The Emsella chair strengthens your pelvic floor muscles — it’s like doing thousands of Kegels in thirty minutes.
‘And us women who have born kids know, or should know, all about Kegels and their importance,’ added Paulina, who is mom to sons Jonathan, 27, and Oliver, 22.
‘Making you pelvic floor muscles stronger mean[s] less incontinence and better orgasms. There is no downside to this. I do this on every visit to the office and my sex life thanks me.’
Impressive: Paulina, who covers the May issue of Vogue CS, said one treatment is ‘like doing thousands of Kegels in thirty minutes’

New York-based OB-GYN Dr. Carolyn Delucia, who served as medical director at VSPOT medispa, told Health in 2018 that women were reporting increased orgasm strength as secondary benefits of the non-invasive treatment.
Paulina has been incredibly open about the non-surgical lengths she has gone to maintain her figure inside and out in her 50s, including her EMSculpt NEO treatments, which are supposed to tighten the muscles and firm the skin.
The day before she waxed poetic about the pulsating chair, she shared a funny photo of herself sporting a blue face, glasses, and a shower cap while getting ready for a ‘date night.’
‘Lucky the man that gets this full glory,’ she joked.
The past year and a half has been incredibly difficult for Paulina, whose estranged husband Ric Ocasek died in September 2019.

Looking back: Paulina has recently returned to dating following her estranged husband’s death in September 2019
Memories: Paulina was only 19 when she met her late husband Ricon the set of the music video for The Cars’ hit ‘Drive’ in 1984 (pictured)
While mourning The Cars frontman, she struggled with depression, anxiety, and rage after learning he had cut her out of his will — leaving her without any money, including her own earnings as a model.
Speaking with Yahoo Life earlier this month, she opened up about love and dating as a widow in her 50s, saying she has realized that ‘sex gets better with age.’
She admitted she was surprised by the discovery after constantly hearing ‘horror stories’ about women losing their sex drives after going through menopause.
‘And it turns out that it only gets better because I know my body so much better. Whatever confidence and wisdom that you acquire with age, it’s kind of paying off in your 50s,’ she said. ‘Now I take my pleasure where I know that I had it or where I can. I’m not there to please the guy; I’m there to be pleased.’
Paulina noted that the last time she dated, she was 19 years old and primarily focused on seducing guys, not her own pleasure.
Keeping it real: Paulina has been incredibly open about the non-surgical lengths she has gone to maintain her figure inside and out in her 50s, including her EMSculpt NEO treatments
Cutting edge: Earlier this month, she opened up about undergoing radiofrequency treatment to get rid of her cellulite
‘I wanted to be seen as hot. It was all very self-conscious, and that self-consciousness is just not there anymore,’ she explained. ‘And sex is a lot more fun when you’re not self-conscious and when you’re just enthusiastic, I love that.
‘In fact, I think that’s the recipe for great sex. You have to deal with a fair amount of body acceptance obviously, because, you know, after having two kids and being in your 50s, your body quite doesn’t bounce like it used to. But it’s got other beauties to it, such as control.’
Paulina has been embracing her own sexuality over the past few months, sharing photos of herself modeling black lingerie during a shoot that took place in her New York City apartment.
She also recently posed inside her Manhattan home for her ‘full-frontal’ Vogue CS cover, which was taken by photographer Marie Tomanova. The racy shot shows her wearing a sheer black bodysuit that leaves nothing to the imagination.
Paulina thanked the ‘brave folks’ at Vogue CS for ‘daring’ to work with her on such a bold shoot. After she unveiled the cover, she posted other photos featured in the magazine’s May issue, including images of herself posing topless.
