Pippa Middleton is spotted with newborn daughter Grace and son Arthur

Pippa Middleton cut a casual figure as she was spotted pushing newborn daughter Grace in a pram as she headed out for a walk in leafy west London with two-year-old son, Arthur in tow.

The mother-of-two, who welcomed her second child Grace Elizabeth Jane with husband James Matthews last week, looked the epitome of ‘mummy cool’ as she was seen with both children for the first time.

The Duchess of Cambridge‘s younger sister, 37, opted for a laid-back look in a navy blue jacket, below-the-knee checked dress and a pair of casual white trainers.

Meanwhile, son Arthur clung onto the handle of the pushchair and proved to be the doting big brother – as he gave his mum a helping hand.

Pippa, who wore her brown hair tied back in a loose ponytail, kept her makeup minimal for the outing – adding just a touch of blusher to her cheeks.

Despite getting caught in the rain, the mother-of-two was all smiles as she enjoyed the fresh air with her children.

Clearly besotted with her newborn, Pippa could be seen gazing down at her little one, who was born in the early hours of March 15, weighing 6lbs 7oz.

The outing comes just two days after Pippa enjoyed a break from mum duties as she was spotted out for a walk with two companions in west London, without new daughter Grace.

She was seen beaming as she chatted to a pair of women clutching coffees, one of whom was walking a dog.

Meeting up with more than one person you don’t live with is currently against lockdown rules in England. You’re allowed to meet outside with other people if you live with them or they’re in your bubble. If you meet someone from another household, you should try to keep two metres away from them.

It isn’t clear who the women Pippa was spotted with are, or if they planned to meet up, though the trio were seen laughing and joking. It’s possible she bumped into them while on a solo stroll.

Proud parents Pippa and James, 45, also share two-year-old son Arthur.

Grace’s middle names – Elizabeth and Jane – are a nod to her grandmothers, Carole Elizabeth Middleton and Jane Matthews, while Elizabeth might also be a subtle acknowledgement of the family’s royal ties.

Rumours of Pippa’s pregnancy first swirled shortly before Christmas when Page Six reported the couple were expecting another baby.

A source close to the Middleton family told Page Six in December Kate’s sister was expecting, saying: ‘Pippa and James are thrilled, it’s fantastic news amid a difficult year. The entire family is delighted.’

Pippa has never commented on her pregnancy and prefers to keep a low public profile.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will no doubt be delighted at the arrival of their baby niece, which comes at an exceedingly difficult time for the Royal Family in the wake of the fallout of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s bombshell Oprah interview.

As well as the Cambridge children, Grace has two cousins on her father’s side of the family: Theodore Frederick Michael, two, and Gigi Margaux Matthews, five months, the children of Made In Chelsea’s Spencer Matthews and his Irish model wife Vogue Williams.

How the lockdown rules for socialising changed on March 8

You can now spend time in outdoor public spaces for recreation on your own, with your household or support bubble, or with one other person. This means you can sit down for a drink or picnic. You must continue to maintain social distance from those outside your household. This is in addition to outdoor exercise, which is already permitted.

Kate and Pippa’s brother James Middleton, 33, is engaged to Alizee Thevenet.

Pippa and James enjoy a close relationship with both families. The Middletons enjoy holidays with the Matthews clan at the family’s exclusive Eden Rock St Barts resort, proving just how well they all get on.

Pippa and James also raise their children with the support of their parents, with Carole telling Good Housekeeping that she is a hands-on grandmother.

‘I want to run down the hills, climb the trees, and go through the tunnel at the playground,’ she said. ‘As long as I am able to, that’s what I’ll be doing. I cook with them, I muck around dancing, we go on bike rides.’

She said she would hope to pass down a love of the countryside and hoped she could help them ‘really see the value of being able to appreciate nature and be active outdoors.’

Describing herself as ‘very family-orientated’, Carole said she has always ‘tried hard to be a listening grandmother and mother-in-law’ to Prince William, 38, and Pippa’s husband James Matthews.

Pippa and James tied the knot in 2017 at St Mark’s Church in Englefield, the estate of former Conservative MP Richard Benyon.

In 2018, Pippa welcomed baby Arthur in the Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s Hospital, the same place where sister Kate gave birth to all three of her children.
