Donald Trump’s notes for a a press conference on Friday have been revealed.

The pieces of paper bearing his distinctive writing were on a lectern for the event.

The press conference followed an appeal hearing in his case against sex accuser E. Jean Carroll.

He used a Sharpie to write them

Words on the cards included ‘Anderson Cooper’ – the CNN host.

Others included ‘dress’, ‘No police report’, ‘No witnesses’, ‘People mag’, and ‘airplane’.

Former Vice President Dick Cheney confirmed his daughter Liz Cheney’s comment that he plans to vote for Vice President Kamala Harris – saying Donald Trump tried to ‘steal’ the 2020 election.

‘In our nation’s 248-year history, there has never been an individual who is a greater threat to our republic than Donald Trump. He tried to steal the last election using lies and violence to keep himself in power after the voters had rejected him. He can never be trusted with power again,’ he said.

‘As citizens, we each have a duty to put country above partisanship to defend our Constitution. That is why I will be casting my vote for Vice President Kamala Harris.’

British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer will meet President Joe Biden at the White House next Wednesday, Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre announced Friday.

It his second visit since a landslide victory in July, when his Labour Party defeated the Conservative Party for the first time in 14 years in an election that bucked a trend of incumbents and rightwing parties either holding or gaining power.

The leaders will have an in-depth discussion on a range of global issues of mutual interest, including continuing robust support to Ukraine in its defense against Russian aggression, securing a hostage release and ceasefire deal to end the war in Gaza, protecting international shipping in the Red Sea from Iranian-backed Houthi threats, and advancing a free and open Indo-Pacific.

GOP Congresswoman Elise Stefanik renewed her push for the judge overseeing Donald Trump‘s hush-money trial to recuse himself from the case.

The New York Republican wrote in a letter sent Friday to the New York State Commission on Judicial Conduct that ‘new information has come to light that merits a fresh look into Justice Merchan’s conflict.’

Her letter was a follow-up to one she sent in May in which she called for an investigation into Justice Juan Merchan, who is presiding over Trump’s trial in New York state court, to ‘determine whether the required random selection process was in fact followed.’

The fresh complaint alleges that Merchan should recuse himself from the case as his daughter, Lauren Merchan, is the president of a company that Kamala Harris‘s presidential campaign has paid and thus stands to benefit from the trial.

Former Rep. Liz Cheney revealed Friday that her father, Republican former Vice President Dick Cheney, would also be casting a ballot for Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris.

‘Dick Cheney will be voting for Kamala Harris,’ the younger Cheney said Friday at the Texas Tribute Festival in Austin.

On Wednesday, the ex-Wyoming congresswoman was speaking to students at North Carolina’s Duke University when she announced that she had decided to cross the aisle and vote for Harris.

‘Because we are here in North Carolina, I think it is crucially important for people to recognize not only is what I have said about the danger that Trump poses something that should prevent people from voting for him, but I don’t believe that we have the luxury of writing in candidates’ names, particularly in swing states,’ Cheney said.

‘And as a conservative and as someone who believes in and cares about the Constitution, I have thought deeply about this, and because of the danger that Donald Trump poses, not only am I not voting for Donald Trump but I am voting for Kamala Harris.’

Cheney jumped into Republican politics after her father served two terms as vice president under GOP President George W. Bush.

She was ousted from Congress after losing her GOP primary in ulta-red Wyoming to a Trump-backed candidate, now Rep. Harriet Hageman, in 2022.

At the Texas Tribune Festival, Cheney was asked if there had been any discussions about her speaking at the Democratic National Convention, as her fellow Republican member of the January 6 commission, former Rep. Adam Kinzinger, had done.

Cheney said she didn’t appear at the DNC because ‘I wanted to make the announcement, to do it in a way that wasn’t connected to the party politics of the moment.’

‘I also happened to be in London at the Taylor Swift concert,’ Cheney added to cheers.

When Kamala Harris took over the top of the Democratic presidential ticket from President Biden, Democrats saw enthusiasm skyrocket and polls with Donald Trump leading tightened, but there was another element in play: voter registrations surged.

While voter registrations tend to increase as Election Day nears, the boost after the shakeup was significant as a massive number of young people, especially young women and women of color registering jumped dramatically.

Tom Bonier, a senior adviser to political data firm TargetSmart, has been digging into the numbers as more states release voter registration data for the week following Biden’s exit from the race.

He found voter registrations that week compared to the same time period in 2020 were up nearly 192 percent nationally among young black women and up 183 percent among young hispanic women.

Former President Donald Trump took time out from his campaign on Friday to defend himself against what he said were ‘made-up’ sexual assault allegations, and once again flirted with further lawsuits by accusing the writer E. Jean Carroll of inventing her claims against him.

It is a high-risk strategy that runs the danger of keeping the story in the headlines and reminding voters of his legal woes at a time when he is locked in a tight battle with Kamala Harris.

But he was bullish as he left the event at Trump Tower and spoke to DailyMail.com about whether this was the right way to win over female voters.

‘We’re doing great with women,’ he said.

His appearance was billed as a press conference. But in the event he answered just that one question.

The first ballots set to be mailed in the 2024 election season will be delayed after a North Carolina court ruled Robert F Kennedy Jr. name must be removed.

The crucial battleground state was set to begin mailing the first ballots on September 6 as state law dictates the ballots start going out sixty days before Election Day.

But the ballots still included the name of the one-time Independent presidential candidate before he dropped out of the race and endorsed Donald Trump.

On Friday the North Carolina Court of Appeals granted Kennedy’s request to stop ballots with his name from going out. The court also told a lower court judge to order the State Board of Elections to distribute ballots without Kennedy’s name on them.

It came after a judge Thursday rejected Kennedy’s request but ordered election officials not to send ballots out before noon Friday as Kennedy’s team appealed.

As of Friday morning, county boards of elections in the state had received more than 132,500 absentee ballot requests including about 12,500 requests from military and overseas voters.

Reprinting and assembling ballot packages could take more than two weeks.

Jack Schlossberg, the grandson of President John F. Kennedy, was spotted at the White House Friday seeing off President Joe Biden as the 81-year-old headed to Michigan.

Schlossberg, a political correspondent for Vogue who spoke at last month’s Democratic National Convention, could be seen filming himself with Biden’s helicopter, Marine One, taking off in the background.

The Kennedy clan member is among the majority of the family who backed Biden – and now Vice President Kamala Harris – as his uncle Robert F. Kennedy Jr. launched a Democratic and then independent presidential bid.

The day after the DNC wrapped up RFK Jr. announced he was removing his name from swing state ballots and encouraged his supporters in those states to vote for former Republican President Donald Trump.

‘Never been less surprised in my life,’ Schlossberg commented then. ‘Been saying it for over a year – RFKjr is for sale, works for Trump. Bedfellows and loving it.’

‘Kamala Harris is for the people – the easiest decision of all time just go easier,’ he added.

Trump wrapped up what his campaign team called a ‘press conference’ but what amounted to extended complaints about the legal cases he faces that extended beyond 40 minutes.

Trump complained about a series of judges and their rulings against him, women who testified at the E. Jean Carroll case, the ABC team organizing the September 10 debate, and other topics.

Even as he blasted what he called a ‘witch hunt,’ Trump pointed to political gains he has experienced while battling prosecutors.

‘My poll numbers, I believe, are higher now than they would have been without it,’ he said shortly before ending the event.

After tearing into ‘hostile’ New York judges and blasting female accusers, Trump fired off a few negative comments about his stable of lawyers.

‘I’m disappointed at my legal talent, to be honest with you,’ Trump said, before complaining about a fight over evidence in the E. Jean Carroll case.

He also complained about a lawyer who ‘is not with us any longer’ who advised him not to show up for the first E. Jean Carroll case.

‘And so I didn’t show up, and I was found guilty,’ he said. Trump also complained that ‘I don’t get fair panels.’ Trump had three lawyers in D.C. Thursday who have successfully delayed his January 6 case past the election.

But he had nice things to say about Judge Aileen Cannon, who ruled in his favor by dismissing the classified documents case. ‘I think she’s a brilliant woman,’ Trump said.

The United States and Iraq have reached an understanding on plans for the withdrawal of U.S.-led coalition forces from Iraq, according to multiple sources familiar with the matter.

The plan, which has been broadly agreed but requires a final go-ahead from both capitals and an announcement date, would see hundreds of troops leave by September 2025, with the remainder departing by the end of 2026, the sources told Reuters.

‘We have an agreement, its now just a question of when to announce it,’ a senior U.S. official said.

The U.S. and Iraq are also seeking to establish a new advisory relationship that could see some U.S. troops remain in Iraq after the drawdown.

An official announcement was initially scheduled for weeks ago but was postponed due to regional escalation related to Israel’s war in Gaza and to iron out some remaining details, the sources said.

Then he tears into Jessica Leeds, the woman who testified that he attacked her aboard an airplane in the late 1970s. ‘You have an armrest in planes back in those days.

‘It couldn’t have happened. It didn’t happen. And she would not have been the chosen one,’ Trump said.

Then he went after Natasha Stoynoff, who alleges Trump assaulted her at Mar-a-Lago when she was doing an interview with him and Melania at Mar-a-Lago. ‘Whatever her name was, I don’t know the lady,’ Trump said.

Both Leeds and Stoynoff testified in the Carroll trial, in an event Trump’s lawyer Will Scharf says ‘polluted’ jury deliberations.

Former President Donald Trump was back in court Friday, this time to sit in on a U.S. Appeals Court while his lawyers contest a jury’s $5 million award in the E. Jean Carroll case.

He was there attend oral arguments before a three judge panel of the 2nd Circuit Court of appeals. The arguments lasted just 22 minutes.

It comes a day after he opted to skip a court appearance in Washington, D.C., where he faces a new superseding indictment in the January 6th case. In that venue, Trump opted to let his lawyer issue a new ‘not guilty’ plea on his behalf.

Trump’s presidential campaign has made hay out of his various court sagas, including his New York fraud case, where Judge Juan Merchan is set to decide today whether to keep a schedules September 18th sentencing deadline, which could give Trump a jail sentence two months before he faces the voters. A Manhattan jury last May issued the verdict in Carroll’s defamation case. She said Trump assaulted her inside a Manhattan department store dressing room in the 1990s. Trump called her claims a hoax.

The jury awarded her a combined $5 million after finding he committed sexual abuse and defamation.

In 2019, Kamala Harris voiced her support for a plastic straw ban when she was running for the Democratic presidential nomination.

But the plastic straw ban is one more issue where the campaign is quietly walking back the vice president’s position, ahead of the 2024 general election.

Trump supporters have used the straw ban as one of the most egregious examples of the left’s tyrannical nanny state tendencies.

New York Judge Juan Merchan will decide Friday whether to put off scheduled sentencing for Donald Trump in the Stormy Daniels hush money case.

Sentencing is scheduled for September 18th, just two months before election day. Trump’s lawyers want him to postpone it.

The judge, who Trump repeatedly attacked during his trial, has told the parties he will make his decision on timing Friday. Trump faces up to four years in prison, although experts predict the first-time offender might not get any jail time.

Trump, who scheduled a press conference for Friday, is also due in court in a separate case where his las lawyers are appealing a $5 million judgement against him in E. Jean Carroll’s defamation case.

Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign announced it raised $361 million last month, the largst cash haul of the 2024 election so far.

The Democratic presidential nominee has now raised more than $615 million since taking over the top of the ticket with President Biden’s departure from the race in late July, the campaign said.

Harris and running mate Tim Walz have $404 million in cash on hand with sixty days to go before Election Day.

The August cash haul came from nearly three million contributors including 1.3 million 1.3 million donors who made their first donation of the 2024 cycle last month. According tot he campaign, of those new donors, three out of four did not contribute in the 2020 presidential election.

Ninty-five percent of all August donations were under $200. Among the top occupations for contributors were teachers and nurses.

More than 60 percent of donors last month were women and nearly one in five were registered Republicans or Indepedents.

‘In just a short time, Vice President Harris’ candidacy has galvanized a history-making, broad, and diverse coalition – with the type of enthusiasm, energy, and grit that wins close elections,’ said campaign manager Julie Chavez Rodriquez in a statement.

The massive cash haul came in the same month Harris accepted the Democratic presidential nomination at the convention in Chicago.

Five of the top ten grassroots fundriasing days were last month, and the third best day of the campaign to date was August 6 when Harris announced Walz as her running mate.

By comparison, the Trump campaign announced it raised $130 million in August and ended the month with $295 million cash on hand. Ninty-eight percent of his campaign donations last month were under $200.

Both Donald Trump and Kamala Harris are looking to secure the key swing state and its sixteen electoral votes while the Tar Heel State also has one of the most contentious governor races of 2024.
