Soulja Boy said that he’s getting along fine with Kanye ‘Ye’ West.
The 31-year-old rapper, whose real name is DeAndre Cortez Way, took to Instagram Stories Sunday to say that he and the Grammy-winning rapper, 44, are on good terms, days after he made a reference to the sensitive topic of West’s estranged wife Kim Kardashian, 41, dating Pete Davidson, 28.
The Turn My Swag On performer wrote: ‘Listen. Me and Ye is all good. Just a lil friendly jokes and fun. Don’t think I’m against him. We spoke we gon figure things out.’

He continued: ‘We both two smart individuals chasing our dreams. We both act a lil crazy sometimes but we know what we doing. It’s all love never get it confused.’
The Kiss Me Thru the Phone artist also shared a previous text exchange with West, in which the Donda rapper told him, ‘This Ye. Don’t bring up me or my wife no more.’
Soulja Boy replied: ‘Or what n**** … you lame as f*** … I speak on what I want to … Go get your b**** back.’
West deescalated the situation in response, offering to send him his new music player, the Stem Player, and asking him to appear on the album Donda 2, crediting his success on YouTube with his 2007 breakout hit Crank That (Soulja Boy).

Soulja Boy last week seemingly ripped West in a video clip he made, ostensibly poking fun at the superstar rapper amid his public clash with Kardashian and animus toward Davidson.
‘Kanye wake up – Skete got yo b**** n****,’ Soulja Boy said, using the derogatory nickname ‘Skete,’ which West has past used in reference to the SNL star. ‘What you gonna do? Is you gon’ keep posting memes of Marvel vs. Capcom? Or you gonna lay the smackdown?’
He continued: ‘Now you running around Hollywood, crying like a b**** … “Help me” … F*** you, Kanye!’
The musical artists appeared to have tension dating back to last year, when West and Soulja Boy exchanged words after West did not include a verse Soulja Boy recorded for West’s album Donda.
