  • At one point, the spider was above the driver’s head while she was still driving
  • Eventually, the women pulled over and managed get the spider out of their car

A group of women have filmed the terrifying moment they realised they were trapped in a moving car with a huge spider.

A mother and her four daughters were dressed up and driving to a formal event in Sydney when they realised the spider was crawling on their car ceiling, prompting them to start filming the chaotic events that unfolded.

The video begins with the spider crawling on the car interior between the driver and passenger windows, with one woman screaming: ‘Oh my God!’

The spider crawled along the interior of the car, including its roof and walls

One of the sisters, named Bella, was driving the car while her passengers screamed – before the spider crawled onto the inside part of her window.

‘Bella! Bella, open your window!’ one sister said.

‘Shut up!’ Bella replied – but the spider then made its way onto the roof and began crawling towards the three backseat sisters squished together on the car’s left side.

‘Chantelle, you’re going to have to hit it outside! Don’t let it crawl this way!’ One sister said.

Another sister, presumably Chantelle, said: ‘No I can’t, stop, stop, shut up, shut up!’

‘I’m scared, I don’t know what to do!’ the sister filming said, before seemingly breaking down in tears and screaming.

After this, the spider changed direction and crawled across the roof to the front of the car, where driver Bella and the fourth passenger, her mother, were.

At this point, Bella was still driving the car along a busy road in Sydney.

The mother in the front passenger seat swiped at the spider with her iPhone but this only made matters worse as the spider crawled towards Bella – right above her head.

Eventually, the women pulled over and rushed out of the car, prompting one sister to say: ‘Tell Dad to come get us, I’m not driving in this f***ing car.’

The spider was filmed crawling across the car dashboard before brave Bella grabbed a stick and went back inside to get the spider out.

‘You can do it, Bella!’ one of the supportive sisters said.

‘Ah! It won’t stop crawling!’ Bella screamed from inside the vehicle before flicking the spider outside of the car and onto the road.

‘Ah, it’s out! It’s done!’ the mother said.

The sisters and mother were later filmed laughing in the car with one sibling saying: ‘Bella, you were going to die!’

‘It almost landed on my head!’ Bella said.

The spider was most likely a large Huntsman spider, which are not considered to be dangerous despite their large and hairy appearance.

As with most spiders, they do possess venom that can cause some ill effects but they are reluctant to bite, and will usually try to run away rather than be aggressive.
