Executive producer of the Tamron Hall Show Candi Carter has quit the show as allegations that the host fosters a toxic work environment swirl, DailyMail.com can reveal.
‘Candi was so done with Tamron that she requested that ABC take her off the show,’ ABC insiders tell DailyMail.com. ‘The environment that Tamron has created on her show is toxic. It is literally bleeding staff.’
They say that Carter is leaving the show, now in its third season, but staying at ABC. This is the third producer to leave Tamron’s show after legendary producer Bill Geddie, who created The View, was pushed out last year. Talia Parkinson-Jones signed on as EP and left shortly after.
‘Tamron didn’t like that Candi tried to steer the ship and had ideas that clashed with hers, because Tamron believes the only opinion that matters is her opinion,’ the source added.
‘When you work with Tamron, it’s her way or the highway. Candi’s now on that highway to a much better job away from the cattiness that is destroying Tamron’s show.’

ABC insiders tell DailyMail.com that Tamron has created a toxic work environment and the show is ‘bleeding staff’
The insider sang Candi’s praises and said she is partly responsible for the show’s success.
‘Candi is a strong executive who understands what makes news, pop culture and can handle difficult hosts. It’s a real loss for the show, as now it’s all Tamron, all the time,’ they said.
Legendary TV producer Bill Geddie, who helped launch The View, was the executive producer the Tamron Hall Show until sources revealed that he was pushed out in March 2020
‘Candi came up with Oprah Winfrey and steered The View in the right direction when it was in freefall, she knows what she is doing.
‘Staff are buzzing that Candi could replace Brian Teta at The View as last Friday was an embarrassment.’
The source was referring to the live TV fiasco when The View hosts Ana Navarro and Sunny Hostin were pulled off set after testing positive for Covid, just minutes before interviewing Vice President Kamala Harris.
Another source indicated, that it is an entirely new job ABC is creating for Candi as they do not want to lose her.
In August, ABC moved Tamron’s show from ABC’s entertainment division to the be under the supervision of ABC News. It now sits alongside shows such as The View and Good Morning America.
An ABC News spokesperson declined to comment when approached by DailyMail.com.
Rumors of a toxic work environment at the Tamron Hall Show have been buzzing for years.
In July 2020, DailyMail.com revealed that 20 employees at the show were fired in what was called a ‘giant blood bath.’
Production sources told DailyMail.com. ‘[Tamron] is living her best life on her personal Instagram while people are losing their livelihoods.’
‘Her name is on the show so she would’ve known what was coming, yet there she is celebrating date night, the night before 20 people no longer have an income. Talk about tone deaf,’ sources said.
Tamron Hall, 51, and ABC denied that 20 people were fired, calling the claims ‘entirely inaccurate.’
‘There were no layoffs or firings; rather, the show is making behind-the-scenes changes and chose not to renew some staff,’ a show spokesperson said.
Production sources previously told DailyMail.com, ‘The show has been a hotbed of dysfunction since day one. It’s gotten worse with the new leadership team. Tamron only wants people who say yes to her.’
The anticipated Tamron Hall Show launched in September 2019.
Legendary TV producer Bill Geddie, who helped launch The View with Barbara Walters, was the executive producer of the Tamron Hall Show until sources revealed that he was pushed out in March 2020.
‘Tamron hated Bill Geddie and that is why he was pushed out. Here’s a talented professional who created The View and worked with Barbara Walters for 30 years but he wasn’t good enough for Tamron. Let me translate that for you – he didn’t grant her every wish.
‘So many of us have been in the talk show business for many many years. What makes legends like Oprah, Ellen and Sally Jessy Raphael is that they were all strong leaders who took wise counsel from the people around them,’ our sources added.

The former MSNBC anchor and co-anchor of the third hour of the Today show left NBC in February 2017 after the network announced that it was bringing in former Fox News host Megyn Kelly to take over Today’s third hour.
NBC offered to renew Hall’s contract despite her losing her hour on Today, but she opted to exit the job altogether.
The married mother-of-one addressed why she left NBC during her appearance at the 2019 Vulture Festival in Los Angeles.
‘They wanted something that wasn’t me,’ Hall told moderator Tracy Clayton. ‘It wasn’t that I did not know my value. It’s that others did not know my value; it was an easy decision, because there was no other decision to make.
‘At some point in all of our lives, the goalpost keeps getting moved to the point it’s invisible, and I’m not into being Charlie Brown to anyone’s Lucy, so I wasn’t going to keep kicking that football.’
