A 17-year-old stabbed his two younger sisters to death to exact revenge on his mother because she showed them more affection, according to authorities in Mexico.
Braulio Ramírez was arrested Wednesday for the brutal killing of Diana, 7, and Guilleri, 12, in Tecámac, a municipality in State of Mexico.
Ramírez, who lived with his father, had visited the home of his mother, Erika, 38, to watch over the girls when she went to work on Sunday.
But when she returned home, Erika discovered her daughters unconscious on the floor.
She confronted her son, who allegedly stabbed her and hit her on the head with a gun.

Ramírez fled the scene and was found hiding Wednesday evening at a friend’s home in the municipality of Ciudad Nicolás Romero.
He was apprehended without incident.
Police say the teenager told investigators he carried out the murders because his mother always treated him differently than his sisters, according to Mexican newspaper La Prensa.
He added that hated his sisters because their mother showered them with more love and affection.
‘I had a lot of hatred for my mother, that’s why I killed my sisters, to get revenge on her,’ he said.

The State of Mexico prosecutor’s office announced Ramírez was being held at a juvenile detention center in Zinacantepec.
Ramírez, who is set to turn 18 soon, was scheduled to appear before a judge for his arraignment Thursday and could be tried as an adult.
