Trump is considering Florida rally at the moment Biden is sworn in to announce 2024 run
Trump is mulling holding a Florida rally to announce 2024 run at the exact moment Joe Biden is sworn in
- President Donald Trump is considering a final Air Force One flight from the White House to a Florida rally on Joe Biden’s Inauguration Day
- He could use the rally to announce he is running for president in 2024
- The rally would be a final outgoing snub to Biden by Trump not attending the peaceful transition of power from one president to the next
- The plans would also create a split-screen moment highlighting the two parties’ vastly different responses to the coroanvirus pandemic
- Biden will take his oath of office before a socially-distanced audience outside the Capitol, Trump rally would be in front of a large crowd in an airport hangar
Donald Trump plans to upstage Joe Biden‘s inauguration by exiting the White House via Marine One and flying on Air Force One to a rally in Florida where he will announce he is running for president again in 2024.
The final use of presidential air travel and Florida rally would take place January 20, 2021, sources told Axios in a Monday report, the same day of Biden’s inauguration.
If carried out, this means speculation is true that after Trump snubbed Biden by refusing to concede the election, he then plans to further diss the former vice president by not attending the inauguration for the peaceful transition of power from one president to the next.
‘Anonymous sources who claim to know what the President is or is not considering have no idea,’ White House spokesman Judd Deere said. ‘When President Trump has an announcement about his plans for Jan. 20 he will let you know.’
Trump has claimed he would participate in a peaceful transfer if the election were conducted fairly, which he still asserts it was not.

The president’s plans further exhibit that he doesn’t plan to go quietly as he paves the way for a split-screen moment highlighting some key differences between the parties and their response to the coronavirus pandemic.
Trump’s Florida rally would likely mirror his previous rallies ahead of the election – with a rowdy crowd huddled together in an airport hangar as the president speaking with Air Force One as his backdrop.
Outside of the outgoing president’s absence, Biden’s inauguration won’t look like any in America’s history as his team continues to accommodate for the ongoing pandemic.
Biden will be sworn in before a socially distanced audience outside the Capitol.
Trump still insists he is the true winner of the 2020 election, claiming Democrats ‘stole’ the election for Biden by ‘rigging’ the mail-in ballot process and committing election ‘fraud.’
By immediately announcing his plans for another White House run in 2024, Trump is setting himself up to be Biden’s biggest critic the next four years.
Flying off from Washington, D.C. on inauguration day would also allow Trump to escape protests that are the norm in sending off the past president and welcoming the incoming president.
Biden holds 306 Electoral College votes – much more than the 270 needed to win the presidency. Trump holds 232 after he lost several key battleground states needed for another victory.
It is customary for outgoing presidents to attend the inauguration of their successor to participate in a peaceful transition of power from one president to the next
A few Republican lawmakers are already floating last-ditch efforts to overturn the results by vowing to launch an official challenge to the Electoral College votes when Congress certifies the election for Biden on January 6.
Trump held his first rally since the night before Election Day when he campaigned for Georgia Republican Senators Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue in Valdosta on Saturday evening.
He spent his fair share of the night, however, lamenting the circumstances surrounding the presidential election.
