The anchor opened up his top-rated cable program on Tuesday by blasting Biden, warning that the president was playing with fire.
He said: ‘Here’s something that we need to internal idea. Just because something is far-fetched or crazy or seems totally destructive to core American interests doesn’t mean the U.S. Government won’t do it.
‘That’s the main lesson right now. Do not discount no matter how far-fetched it it would seem is a hot war with Russia. Yes, this is a lunatic idea. Nothing that we could gain from a military confrontation with Vladimir Putin and very much we could lose include many thousands of American lives.
”That doesn’t mean Joe Biden won’t do it. Biden is unpopular, he’s incompetent and desperate. More than anything Joe Biden is weak. He’s a pawn of his staff in the hard-ideologues that surround him. Many of Biden’s aides are pushing the United States to get involved militarily.’
Carson’s definition of a hot war appeared to involve a direct conflict between the two superpowers.
Tucker Carlson opened up his top-rated cable program on Tuesday by blasting Biden, saying that there is ‘nothing that we could gain from a military confrontation with Russia and very much we could lose – including many thousands of American lives’
Getting involved in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, Carlson said, could even cause a hot war with Russia. ‘But that doesn’t mean Joe Biden (pictured)won’t do it,’ he said ‘Biden is unpopular, incompetent and desperate’
NATO, Carlson explained, was formed in 1949 to prevent the Soviet Union from invading western Europe. Now that the Soviet Union has been dissolved for more than three decades, the body just exists ‘to taunt Putin,’ he said.
Should Ukraine join NATO, Carlson said, Russia’s access to their Black Sea fleet and their only connection to international waters would be compromised.
Putin is said to be keen to bring the Ukraine back into a new Soviet Union, by force if necessary, with US and its allies upset over his plans sparking the ongoing tension.
‘If Russia lost the naval base, would be the biggest military geopolitical defeat of Russia in the last thousand years. So for Vladimir Putin that’s unacceptable,’ Carlson said. ‘He will not let it happen and won’t let it happen.’
To put his point into perspective, Carlson asked viewers to imagine ‘how [they] would feel if Mexico and Canada were satellites of China.’
‘We wouldn’t like that,’ Carlson said. ‘Vladimir Putin doesn’t want Belgium. He wants his western borders secure.’

If the US were to take over Ukraine, or become beholden to the country, Carlson said that it would drive us ‘deeper into the arms of the government of China.’
‘It would be disaster for the United States and a disaster for the world. So why are we doing this? Why is the U.S. Government pushing Ukraine to join NATO? God knows why. We are doing this, both parties are doing this.’
Russia threatened to launch a military offense into Ukraine over their aspirations to join NATO, and defended Vladimir Putin for his unwillingness to let the neighboring country join the international alliance.
Biden held a video summit with Putin on Tuesday, which was closed-off to reporters.
It began amicably, although afterwards the White House issued a stern summary.
It read: ‘(The president) voiced the deep concerns of the United States and our European Allies about Russia’s escalation of forces surrounding Ukraine and made clear that the U.S. and our allies would respond with strong economic and other measures in the event of military escalation.
Biden also ‘called for de-escalation and a return to diplomacy,’ according to the briefing.
It concluded: ‘The two presidents tasked their teams to follow up, and the U.S. will do so in close coordination with allies and partners. The presidents also discussed the U.S.-Russia dialogue on Strategic Stability, a separate dialogue on ransomware, as well as joint work on regional issues such as Iran.’
Biden subsequently hosted a call with his European allies to brief them on the chat with Russia.
