This is the shocking moment a police officer in Brazil threatened another cop with a gun because he was five minutes late returning from lunch.
The harrowing incident was captured on video by bewildered bystanders as a group of cops stood by watching in downtown São Paulo on Friday.
According to Brazilian news outlet UOL, Private Felipe do Nascimento arrived five minutes late from his meal break.

Do Nascimento reportedly lost his temper when Corporal Márcio Simão informed him that he would be reporting him to his sergeant because his tardiness meant he would not be able to leave for his own break.
Multiple videos shared on social media show do Nascimento berating Simão and pointing his gun at his face as onlookers shouted at the tardy cop to pull the trigger.
Subsequently, Simão reached for do Nascimento’s weapon in an attempt to disarm him but was unsuccessful.

The Military Police announced do Nascimento and Simão were suspended for their roles in the incident, calling it a ‘very serious and repulsive event’
Officers who stood by watching the argument stepped in and took do Nascimento in to custody.

‘The attitude directly violates the fundamental values of the institution, especially discipline, hierarchy, professionalism, honor and human dignity, thus demanding severe punishments, to the extent of their severity,’ the law enforcement agency said in a statement.
