Woman who wore the SAME Hawaiian shirt to 264 Zoom meetings over the pandemic says NO ONE noticed

An American woman has revealed that she wore the same exact colorful Hawaiian shirt to 264 video meetings since the start of the pandemic — and not a single person at her company noticed.

Jem, 33, shared her funny fashion experiment in a series of TikTok videos, showing off the blue Hawaiian shirt with flowers and pineapples that she has put on for hundreds of Zoom meetings in the past 15 months.

Jem said that no one ever commented on her outfit repeats, and when she finally told her team what she had sone on her last day of work, they were completely clueless.

TikTok user Jem, 33, said she started wearing a Gap shirt she purchased in 2018 to all of her meetings on April 2, 2020

She wore it for meetings with her internal team, people outside the company, and the board of directors

She continued to wear it again and again, meeting after meeting, for a total of 264 meetings

Jem says she purchased the shirt from Gap in 2018, and wore it to her first pandemic video meeting on April 2, 2020.

She continued to wear it again and again, meeting after meeting, for a total of 264 meetings.

‘I’ve been wearing the same shirt to every work video meeting since April 2, 2020, figuring [that] someone will notice and say something eventually,’ she said.

Because she wore it over and over, there were occasions where a person would see her in the same shirt several days in a row — and still, nothing.

Two days ago, Jem wore the shirt for the last time on her last day at work and finally revealed what she had done.

‘When I told my team that I had been wearing the same shirt, they didn’t know what I was talking about. They hadn’t noticed,’ she said.

‘The intern literally said, “On purpose?” So, there’s that,’ she continued.

‘Literally wore this shirt to every single meeting with my internal team, external folks, the board of directors. [I] recorded webinars that are then posted on our website — and no one knew what I was talking about.

‘They truly had no idea,’ she said.

Jem’s videos documenting her single-item work wardrobe have gone viral, and earned amazed responses from viewers.

‘They don’t deserve you OR your superior style,’ wrote one, while others called it ‘epic’ and ‘hilarious.’

‘Proof that none of us in the main character,’ quipped another.

‘Now THIS is performance art! Well done!’ another commenter chimed in.

Some pointed out that it should serve as a lesson to people who worry that other people care about what they wear to work.

‘I think this is a solid comment on how much we all put into fashion and looks and when it comes down to it NO ONE is paying attention to anyone else,’ said one.

‘Well I’m not gonna stress anymore about my expansive 7 shirt/5 day rotation!’ said another.

‘This is why capsule wardrobes work. People don’t pay near as much attention as you think they do,’ wrote one more.
