A woman’s headless and dismembered body has been found by two workers walking on a dead-end street in Baltimore.

The grisly discovery was made in the 1600 block of Morrell Park Avenue at around 10.30am on Tuesday.

Rob Batzri, an operations manager for a local sink distributor, said he and his boss were surveying the company’s property in the Morrell Park neighborhood when they came upon what they believed to be a decomposing body missing its head.

‘It was very surprising — sort of surreal,’ Batzri told The Baltimore Sun. ‘It looked like it had been there for awhile, or someone had recently came and dropped it off.’

A police spokesman said when officers responded to the scene, they found the body under a covering.

The body was decomposing and missing the head, feet and hands, the spokesman said. Police have not been able to identify the victim.

The case is being investigated as a ‘suspicious death.’
